The Heath Golf Club’s women’s intermediate foursomes team emerged victorious in the Leinster Central Final recently.
The team from the Laois club defeated Edenderry Golf Club in a closely contested match held at Killeen Golf Club.
This win marks a significant achievement for the team, who now advance to the All-Ireland Quarter Finals in Athlone on August 22.
The players showed exceptional skill, teamwork, and determination throughout the competition, continuing a strong tradition of excellence at The Heath.
The team was comprised of eight players who were grouped into teams of two.
Marie Conlon and Sarah Coonan; Helen Kelly and Mary Cushen; Noeleen Byrne and Therese Ryan; and Mary Culliton and Maria Delaney.
The subs on the day were Ber Fitzpatrick, Sadie Ging and Póilín Hooban who gave great support.
While the team was excellent led by managers Breeda Keating and Bernie Aldritt.
Congratulations to all involved, and best of luck in Athlone in the All-Ireland quarter finals.
