One Laois GAA club launches ‘calf splat’ fundraiser while another plans Electric Picnic raffle

Two Laois GAA clubs have launched fundraisers with tickets to Electric Picnic and cash prizes up for grabs.

Arles-Kilcruise are running a ‘Calf Splat’ with a top prize of €5,000 to be won.

A spokesperson for the club explained how this fundraiser will work – with tickets, limited to 400, available here.

“Our ‘Calf Splat’ competition which takes place on Saturday, August 23 at 5pm, promises to be a memorable one for everyone.

“For €50, you have a chance to win our top prize of €5,000 or one of four runner up prizes of €250.

“On the day, our calf will be given free roam of our pitch. Each ticket holder will be allocated a virtual square on our pitch and if our calf chooses to do his/her business in your square, the money is yours. Simple as that.

“Here at Arles-Kilcruise we are aiming to enhance our facilities and improve access, ensuring everyone in our community can partake in the activities we offer.

“We’ve set a goal to raise a significant amount to work towards achieving our development goals.

“Your generosity has the power to shape the future of our club and create lasting memories for our whole community.”

Meanwhile, Stradbally GAA have announced that they are raffling two tickets for the sold out 2025 Electric Picnic Music and Arts Festival.

Tickets are priced at €10 each while you can buy three for €20.

A spokesperson said: “Stradbally GAA is giving you the chance to win two full weekend tickets to Electric Picnic.

“Tickets for the draw €10 each or you can purchase three for €20

“These are available to purchase online or via Club PRO Ross Molloy directly.

“Support the club and be in with a chance to enjoy one of Ireland’s biggest music festivals.”
