The draws have been made for the next stage of the Laois Shopping Centre SFC and IFC.
Following two rounds of action, four teams have been eliminated from the SFC.
Stradbally, Ballyfin, Clonaslee-St Manman’s and Crettyard lost both matches and now play in the Senior B in five weeks’ time.
Four teams, Arles-Killeen, Portlaoise, Graiguecullen and Ballyroan-Abbey are straight through to the quarter finals after winning both games.
That leaves eight teams and they have been draw against each other in Round 3.
The winners progress to the quarter final proper while the losers are out and move to Senior B.
Meanwhile in the IFC, Kilcavan and Park-Ratheniska moved straight to the semi finals after wins in Round 1 and 2.
There was actually no need for a draw for the quarter finals due to the rule of avoiding repeat pairings.
As Mountmellick have already played Ballylinan, they will take on Arles-Kilcruise while Annanough will play Ballylinan.
The losers of those games will join Timahoe and Portlaoise in the IFC ‘B’ semi finals.
