One student receives 625 as Clonaslee College celebrate 2025 Leaving Cert results

Clonaslee College welcomed former 6th year students through the door for the last time this morning to collect their 2025 Leaving Cert results.

Teachers and staff were eager to see if the students’ hopes and dreams to pursue their chosen path in further education or career would now become a reality.

The Leaving Cert and LCA class of 2025 were invited in for refreshments and a chance to meet their teachers, class tutors, year head and guidance counsellor.

Suzanne McMahon, Principal and John Lee, Deputy Principal were also eager to welcome the return of each student and celebrate their achievements with them.

The school enjoys an exemplary academic reputation, with students performing annually extremely well in both the Junior and Leaving Certificates.

Past alumni have continued to be successful in their chosen fields of study and careers. This year’s cohort of students also performed extremely well.

Renowned for its strong academic record, Clonaslee College once again celebrated excellent results.

Among the top achievers, who scored over 500 points, were Clodiagh Kennedy, Caoimhe Fitzpatrick, Cara Donogher, and Alanna Barrett — with Clodiagh, from Clonaslee, achieving the maximum 625 points.

An impressive 23% of students scored over 400 points. All students successfully passed their subjects, and the school was particularly proud of the achievements of its Ukrainian students, who excelled in their results.

Clonaslee College embodies the ETB ethos in striving to achieve excellence in education, alongside the other core values of respect, care, community and equality.

The Leaving Certificate Applied (LCA) group also impressed, with 50% of the class earning Distinctions—a remarkable accomplishment that reflects their dedication and the support of their teachers.

The principal Suzanne McMahon was delighted that the results achieved.

The teachers received words of high praise and gratitude from both students and parents.

Suzanne said: ““It is wonderful to see such a strong turnout of students returning to celebrate their success.

“The results are a testament to the commitment of our students and the tireless support of staff.

“Every student has achieved their full potential, and that is something to be truly proud of.

“I am particularly proud of all of the staff including ancillary and SNA’s who all worked collaboratively to support students in achieving their full potential.”
