It was all smiles in Mountrath Community School on Friday as the Leaving Cert class of 2025 gathered to receive their results.
A significant number of students achieved strong results across core subjects, with many students scoring over 600 points.
While well over a quarter of the Leaving Cert students achieved over 500 points.
Principal Kathryn O’Brien paid tribute to those and also stated that everyone who sits the exams deserves praise.
She said: “The staff of Mountrath Community School would like to extend heartfelt congratulations to all of our students who received their Leaving Certificate results.
“These results reflect not only students’ academic ability but also their determination, resilience, and commitment throughout their time at school.
“We are incredibly proud of your achievements.
“The results in this year’s Leaving Cert are a testament to the hard work and the support of your teachers, families, and the wider school community.
“While we celebrate these successes, it needs to be said that every Leaving Cert result is an achievement and a testament to dedication shown.
“To the class of 2025 your journey is just beginning, and we are confident that each of you has the potential to thrive in whatever direction you choose.
“Congratulations to all our students – we are extremely proud of the mature young people you have become.
“Wishing you all the best for the next chapter of your lives.”
