It was standing room only in Timahoe Community Hall on Sunday as a local soccer club celebrated their annual awards evening.
Members of T&S United soccer club gathered to celebrate the achievements of their players.
The club compete in the Midlands Schoolboys League which comprises of teams from Laois, Offaly and Westmeath predominately – along with parts of Galway and Roscommon.
The 2024-2025 season was a bumper year for T&S United as it saw them enter their highest ever number of teams.
And there was plenty of success too with the U-13s being presented with the Shield that they won.
That was achieved following a thrilling penalty shoot out against Portumna back in May.
The U-14s and U-12s were also presented with their league runners-up medals on the night.
The club fielded teams at U-9, U-10 and U-11 with all of those receiving participation medals as they play in non competitive leagues.
There were individual awards too for Golden Boot, Coaches, Referee’s and Player’s Player of the Year.
