There was big Laois involvement as Vancouver GAA hosted their championship finals in Canada last weekend.
Two Laois players claimed glory in the Senior Ladies final while three were involved in the Intermediate men’s decider.
St Joseph’s duo Ciara Langton and Catriona Crosby were part of the ISSC Vancouver team
They got the better of St Finnian’s in a game that was played at Burnaby Lake Rugby Club.
Earlier that day, in the same venue, Eire Og also faced St Finnian’s in the Intermediate men’s final.
Portlaoise’s Philip Roche was on the winning side alongside Stradbally’s Colm Clancy.
While Portlaoise’s Michael Dowling and John Kavanagh were part of the management team.
They edged a tight battle by 0-11 to 0-10 to be crowned champions.
It completes a double for the lads who claimed league honours back in May.
