There was a huge local element to the final day of Electric Picnic with two choirs from the parish in which it is staged performing.
It all kicked off at 1.30pm where the Timahoe Male Choir made Electric Picnic history.
Led by the incredible Damien Bowe, they became the first group ever from Laois to perform on the biggest stage.
Despite their early time, their set drew in a very healthy crowd and went down a treat.
Hits like ‘Mamma Mia’ and ‘Killeagh’ were well received while the conclusion with ‘Maniac 2000’ hit the right note.
They also had a special guest as the recently crowned Rose of Tralee Katelyn Cummins appeared on stage and jived with non other than our own Paul Dargan.
That finished at 2.30pm and it was a mad dash across then to the Hazelwood Stage where the Stradbally Community Choir made their debut.
Joined by Mick McLoughlin, the Stradbally Community Choir performed a range of hits that left punters young and old singing along.
Paul Dargan, who appears to have magical powers, was able to capture pictures of himself performing on the Main Stage.
And after that, he headed over to The Hazelwood where he caught the Stradbally Community Choir.
