Peacefully as Lisheen Nursing Home, Rathcoole surrounded by her loving family.
Beloved wife of the late Michael and sister of the late Breda.

Sadly missed by her loving sons Keith and Niall, daughters-in-law Una and Carine, grandchildren Alannah, Seán, Olivia and Thomas, sister Breda, brothers and sisters in law, nephews, and nieces, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Lisheen Nursing Home, Rathcoole (D24 Y024) from 6pm on Thursday concluding with Rosary at 8pm. Removal by Glennons Funeral Directors on Friday to arrive at The Church Of The Most Holy Rosary, Abbeyleix for Requiem Mass at 2pm.
Burial afterwards in Shanahoe Cemetery.

Winifred (Winnie) Scully (née Goulding)
Coolagh, Clonaslee, Laois

Winifred (Winnie) Scully, (Née Goulding), Coolagh, Clonaslee, Co. Laois. Passed away peacefully on the 2nd of September 2025 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

Predeceased by her daughter Lucy (O’Shea, April 2025), & by her sisters Chrissie, Bridie & her brother Dan.

Dearly loved wife of Brendan, loving mother of Brendan, Fionnuala, Dermot & Carmel. Cherished grandmother to Emmett, Niamh, Laura, Aaron, Róisín, Darragh, Gráinne, Oona, Seán & Conor. Great grandmother to Brendan & Fíadh. Deeply regretted by her brother Tom & sister Essie (Philadelphia). Winnie will be sadly missed by her daughters-in-law Patricia & Annette, son-in-law John & Carmel’s partner John, sisters-in-law Nuala & Margaret, brother-in-law Tony, nieces, nephews, relatives neighbours & friends.

Reposing at her residence on Wednesday the 3rd of September from 3pm with Rosary at 8pm. Funeral Mass on Thursday the 4th of September at 12 noon in St Manman’s Church, Clonaslee, with burial afterwards in St. Manman’s Cemetery, Clonaslee. Winnie’s family would like to thank everyone for their kindness and support at this difficult time.

Suddenly, at home, alongside his beloved wife Andrea.
Predeceased by his cherished mother, Maire.

Wayne will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his devoted wife Andrea, his father Roy, mother-in-law Anne, dear sisters Anita and Sinéad, special nieces Skye, Ailani, and Ava, goddaughter Adriana, brother-in-law Francesco, extended family, friends, and neighbours.

Gone before his time.

Reposing at his home (R32E3H6) on Wednesday at 4pm with Rosary at 8.30pm. Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church , Stradbally at 12 noon on Thursday followed by burial in Oakvale Cemetery, Stradbally.

Caroline Deady Bergin
High Street, Tralee, Kerry/Kilkenny/Galway/Laois

Deady Bergin Caroline (Canada and formerly of High Street, Tralee, Co. Kerry). Died peacefully on 24th August 2025 in Canada. Predeceased by her parents Maureen and Denis, brothers Timothy and John. Caroline will be sadly missed by her loving family, husband Bill, sons Tim and Peter, daughters Melanie and Fiona and her adored grandchildren William, Isla, Evelyn, James, Maeve and Desmond, daughter in law Beverley, sons in law Tom and Gareth, sisters Anne, Phil and Sindy. Caroline will also be lovingly remembered by her brothers in law and sisters in law, her nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, extended family, neighbours and friends, at home and abroad.

Colm Phelan
Hill View Drive, Tralee, Kerry/Portlaoise, Laois

Colm Phelan of Hillview Drive, Caherslee, Tralee, Co. Kerry and formerly Port Laoise, Co. Laois, died peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family on 31st August 2025, beloved husband of Marie, dearest father of Sharon, Deirdre and Conor, brother of the late Anthony and Ann.

Sadly missed by his loving family, his grandchildren Gearóid, Eilís, Mícheál, Odhrán and Aoibhín, son-in-law John, daughter-in-law Solweg, brother Donncha, sister-in-law Sinead, nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at the Gleasure Funeral Home, Tralee, on Tuesday (2nd September) from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral arriving to St. John’s Church, Tralee on Wednesday morning at 9:30 a.m. where the Requiem Mass for Colm will be celebrated at 10 a.m. (streamed on www.stjohns.ie). Interment afterwards in Annagh Cemetery, Dingle Road, Tralee.

Donations in lieu of flowers, if desired, to The Palliative Care Unit, U.H.K. (via “Donation” link below – Kerry Hospice Foundation), or care of The Gleasure Funeral Home, Tralee.

Rita Brady (née Kenny)
Beechlawn, Portlaoise, Laois

Rita Brady (new Kenny). Beechlawn, Portlaoise, Co.Laois. Died August 31st. Peacefully surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her husband Tony and her recently deceased son Larry. Deeply regretted by her sons Kevin, Murt and Gaby, daughters Yvonne and Bernie, sons in law, daughters in law, grandchildren, great grandchildren, sister in law Maureen Kenny, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Keegan’s Funeral Home on Tuesday September 2nd from 6:30pm till 8pm with rosary at 7:30pm. Requiem mass on Wednesday at 11am in SS Peter and Paul’s Church, Portlaoise followed by interment in SS Peter and Paul’s Cemetery, Portlaoise.

Kay (Teenie) Casserly (née Kelly)
Cedarwood Avenue, Kilkenny City, Kilkenny/Abbeyleix, Laois

Kay, in her 93rd year, passed away on 30th August 2025, peacefully, surrounded by family, in the wonderful care of the staff at Tinnypark Nursing Home. Predeceased by her beloved husband Tom, her sons Michael and Jarlath, sister Noreen and brother Seamus. Much loved mother of Brendan, Ann and Joe. Kay will be dearly missed by her loving family, sister Anne (Treacy), son-in-law Tony, daughters-in-law Mary and Trish, grandchildren Killian, Rachel, David, Stephen, Heather, Josh and Ally, nieces and nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Reposing in Johnston’s Funeral Home, John’s Green, Kilkenny (R95XE00) on Tuesday (2nd Sept) from 5pm with Funeral Prayers at 6.30pm followed by removal to St. Fiacre’s Church, Loughboy. Requiem Mass on Wednesday morning at 10.30am. Funeral afterwards to Foulkstown Cemetery.
