Canice Farrell, Knockatrina House, Durrow, Co. Laois and formerly of Damerstown, Castlecomer, Co. Kilkenny. Canice passed away peacefully at his residence, surrounded by his loving family, on Thursday 4th September 2025.
Predeceased by his brothers and sisters. Deeply regretted by his loving wife Lena, children Marette, Anita, Canice and Edwina, son-in-law James and daughter-in-law Liz, his adored and cherished grandchildren Sadhbh and Sennan, sister Lily and brother Sean, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.
Reposing at Knockatrina House, on Saturday 6th September, from 2pm, pausing for prayers at 8.30pm. Removal on Sunday 7th September at 11.30am for funeral Mass in the church of the Immaculate Conception, Castlecomer, at 12.30pm followed by burial in Durrow cemetery (R32CK11) approximately 2pm.

Patrick (Pat) Delaney. Saint John’s Square Portlaoise Co.Laois. Died September 2nd suddenly at home. Predeceased by his parents Kathleen and Paddy Delaney and sister Kathleen. Deeply regretted by his brothers William, Joe, Brendan, Francais and Noel, sisters Mary and Geraldine, brothers in law, sisters in law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.
Reposing at Keegan’s Funeral Home on Friday 5th from 6:30pm till 8pm with funeral prayers at 7:30pm. Requiem mass on Saturday at 12 noon in SS Peter and Paul’s Church, Portlaoise followed by interment in SS Peter and Paul’s Cemetery, Portlaoise.
Joseph (Joe) Nolan
Mooreville, Rathdowney, Laois/Johnstown, Kilkenny
Joseph (Joe) Nolan, Mooreville, Rathdowney, Co. Laois and formerly Tullyvolty, Johnstown, Co. Kilkenny, September 3rd. 2025, peacefully in the loving care of management and staff at the Sacred Heart Nursing Home Crosspatrick, Co. Kilkenny in his 97th. year.
Predeceased by his wife Frances, son Liam and daughter Rose.
Deeply regretted by his loving family, his sons, daughters, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, great grandchildren, sister-in-law Maura, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.
Reposing at O’Sullivan’s Funeral Home, Rathdowney (Eircode R32 NY24) on Friday evening from 6 o’clock pausing for prayers at 8 o’clock. Removal on Saturday morning to the Church of the Most Holy Trinity, Rathdowney arriving for Requiem Mass at 12 noon. Interment afterwards in Bealady Cemetery.

Helena (Lena) Scully, née Delaney, Ballinakill, Ballickmoyler, Carlow September 3rd 2025 peacefully at Droimnín Nursing Home Stradbally, surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of the late Jim and a much loved mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Sadly missed by her loving daughters Patricia, Martina, Colette, Rosemary, Veronica and Brenda, sister Julia, sons-in-law Nicky, Barry, Pat and Peter, her 10 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
Reposing in R. Healy & Son Funeral Home Pollerton Castle, Carlow on Friday evening from 5pm to 8pm. Funeral Mass on Saturday at 2pm in Sacred Heart Church, Arles . Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Predeceased by his brother John and nephew James , and nieces Margaret and June and grand nephew Noah. Deeply regretted by his loving family. Brother Jimmy, sisters in law Breda and Ann. Nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Peacefully as Lisheen Nursing Home, Rathcoole surrounded by her loving family.
Beloved wife of the late Michael and sister of the late Breda.
Sadly missed by her loving sons Keith and Niall, daughters-in-law Una and Carine, grandchildren Alannah, Seán, Olivia and Thomas, sister Breda, brothers and sisters in law, nephews, and nieces, extended family, neighbours and friends.
Reposing at Lisheen Nursing Home, Rathcoole (D24 Y024) from 6pm on Thursday concluding with Rosary at 8pm. Removal by Glennons Funeral Directors on Friday to arrive at The Church Of The Most Holy Rosary, Abbeyleix for Requiem Mass at 2pm.
Burial afterwards in Shanahoe Cemetery.
