Laois County Council set to host international climate gathering with an array of well known guest speakers

Laois County Council has been named as the host organisation for the upcoming Climate Carnival 2025, taking place at Ballintubbert Gardens and House.

Over two days, September 29 and 30, 500 changemakers from across business, creative, science and activist sectors will unite for a one-of-a-kind fusion of leadership and action.

With four dynamic stages, five immersive zones, 10 creative acts and 60 world-class speakers, Climate Carnival 2025 is designed to spark new connections, courageous conversations and ignite bold solutions for climate, nature and communities.

Michael Rainey, Chief Executive of Laois County Council said: “We’re delighted to host the 2025 Climate Carnival here in Laois.

“Sustainability is a core value of Laois County Council, and we are proud to support events and initiatives that promote economic development, strengthen community ties, and build climate resilience.

“This event will bring together leading voices from Ireland and beyond to share ideas, inspire action, and advance the conversation on one of the most pressing issues of our time.”

Laois will take centre stage at the event with a dedicated pavilion highlighting innovative sustainable businesses and organisations from the county.

Attendees will also hear from local speakers who will share insights into the impactful programmes and initiatives driving sustainability across Laois.

Headline speakers and performers will include Podcaster and writer, Blindboy, Podcaster and writer, and Hector Ó hEochagáin, broadcaster and author

While there will be musical performances from Liam Ó Maonlaí, Jerry Fish, Ceara Conway and more to announce.

The event will span across four stages: Leadership, Landscape, People Power, and Future of Food.

Beyond the stages, attendees can expect interactive workshops, creative performances and sessions, live music and performances, guided walks and talks, and an array of food, drink and exhibition options.

From policy experts to grassroots organisers, from visionary CEOs to climate youth delegates – this is where bold ideas meet brave action.
