In Pictures: Excitement building as Clonad GAA host meet and greet night ahead of

Excitement is building ahead of Saturday’s Laois Shopping Centre Intermediate hurling championship final.

Clonad and Mountrath will go head to head for a place in the 2026 Laois Premier IHC.

This is Clonad’s first appearance in the final since 2015 where they were beaten by Trumera.

Typically, before a county final, we would head down to the local school and get pictures of the children in the club gear.

However, as Clonad is one of just a few clubs in Laois that don’t actually have a school, this wasn’t possible.

So instead, ahead of the showdown, Clonad held a meet and greet day where players met with the younger players in the club.

Autographs were signed and medals were presented as the young members got a chance to meet their heroes.

Ciara Conroy and Trish O’Brien were on hand throughout the day to capture some brilliant images.
