Laois GAA have confirmed that the date for the replay of the Laois Shopping Centre Senior Football Championship final has changed.
Yesterday, it was announced that the rematch between Portarlington and Courtwood would take place on Sunday, October 26, at 2pm.
But in fixtures sent out this afternoon, the game is now fixed for Saturday, October 25, at 6.30pm.
Originally, it was stated that in the event of a draw, the replay would have been on October 18.
However, that is the day before Camross face Clough-Ballacolla in the Laois SHC final.
As Rob Tyrrell plays for both Courtwood and Camross, it was decided to change the date of the replay.
However, it is understood that Portarlington were unhappy with Sunday October 26, but a compromise of a day earlier has been found.
It also gives the winners a full week to prepare for Round 1 of the Leinster Club SFC which will be away to the Carlow champions.
