Enda Dunne

It is with deep sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Enda. Predeceased by his parents Michael and Sadie. Enda will be deeply regretted by his adoring wife Nicola, his beloved children Michael and Emily, brothers Joe and Paul, sisters in law, brothers in law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours, friends and work colleagues in SDS.

Reposing at his family home (R32PY74) on Sunday from 1pm until 8pm. Rosary recital at 7pm. Funeral arriving at SS Peter and Paul’s church, Portlaoise for 12 noon mass on Monday. Internment will take place afterwards in SS Peter and Paul’s cemetery, Portlaoise.

House strictly private on Monday morning please. The family wishes to thank you for your understanding at this difficult time.

William John Stanley
Derrycloney, Mountmellick, Laois

William better known as John Stanley, Derrycloney, Mountmellick, Co. laois.

Passed away peacefully on Thursday 16th of October at The Midland Regional Hospital Portlaoise with his loving son Charles by his side.

Predeceased by his wife Enda Sulvia Stanley.

Reposing in Moloney’s Funeral Home, Mountmellick (R32 PC95) on Wednesday from 12 noon. Removal at 1.45pm to Acragar Cemetery arriving for prayer service at 2pm followed by burial.

Bernard Moloney
Parnell Cresent, Portlaoise, Laois/Roscrea, Tipperary

Bernard Maloney, Parnell Crescent, Portlaoise Co.Laois and formally Clonan, Roscrea Co.Tipperary. Died October 16th 2025 peacefully after a brief illness surrounded by his loving family. Deeply regretted by his loving wife Liz, daughter Caroline, sons John Paul and Mark. Stepchildren Rena, Ian and the late Linda. Brothers, Matt, Ger, Noel, Brendan, Aidan, Kevin and David, sisters, Maura, Trisa and Aileen. Brother-in-law, sisters in law, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Keegan’s funeral home on Monday, October 20 from 6:30pm until 8pm with prayers at 7:30pm. Requiem mass will take place at 11 am on Tuesday in SS Peter and Paul Church Portlaoise, followed by interment in SS Peter and Paul Cemetery Portlaoise.

Ann Parkinson (née Costigan)
18 Seandoire, Cork Road, Durrow, Laois, R32 X335

It is with deep sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Ann.

Ann is predeceased by her parents Dan and Nancy. She will be deeply regretted by her adoring children Keith, Kelly, Craig, Shane and Karla, her siblings Mary, Philomena (Phil), Timmy, Jacqueline, Noreen, Donal and Michael. Cherished Nanny to her six grandchildren Dylan, Kailum, Maya, Michael, Teagan and Khloe, her daughter-in-law, her children’s partners, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews, her extended family, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

The death has taken place of Jamie Brennan, 9Colliers Lane, Upper Kilminchy, Portlaoise, Co. Laois and formerly of Barna Ballinakill. He died peacefully in Portlaoise Hospital surrounded by his loving family on Friday 17th October 2025. Jamie will be sadly missed by his adoring parents Jimmy and Bernie, Aunts Uncles, cousins, relatives and a large circle of friends.

Reposing at his home from 4pm Saturday 18th with family Rosary at 8pm. Removal Monday 20th to St. Peter and Pauls Church, Portlaoise for 2pm requiem mass followed by burial in Ballinakill Cemetery.

Mary Elizabeth (Betty) Breen (née Dunne)
Ballybrack, Dublin/Mountmellick, Laois

BREEN (née Dunne) (Ballybrack, Co Dublin and late of Mountmellick, Co Laois) October 16, 2025, peacefully in the wonderful care of all the staff in Annabeg Nursing Home, Ballybrack, Mary Elizabeth (Betty), beloved wife of the late Cornelius (Neil), loving mother of Stephanie and the late Amanda; Sadly missed by her daughter, son-in-law, adored grandchildren Neil, Sofia, Michael and Theo, her extended family and friends.

Reposing Saturday (October 18th) in Quinns of Glasthule A96EW88 from 4pm to 6pm. Removal Monday (October 20th) to Sts Alphonsus & Columba Church, Ballybrack Village arriving for 11.30am Funeral Mass which can be viewed on https://churchmedia.tv/sts-alphonsus-and-columba-ballybrack-killiney-parish followed by burial in St Joseph’s Cemetery, Mountmellick arriving for 3pm approx.
