Laois Scór na nÓg is set to take place on Sunday, November 9, at 4pm in the LOETB Centre of Excellence Portlaoise.
This competition is open to all GAA members under the age of 17 years {17 on 1/1/25} who can dance, sing, tell a yarn, play an instrument or be part of a novelty group.
Scór competitions are organized along similar lines to hurling and Gaelic football championships.
Competitors can enter Rince Fóirne (Céilí Dancing), Amhránaíocht Aonair (Solo Singing), Ceol Uirlise (Instrumental Music), Aithriseoirecht/Scealaíocht (Recitation/Storytelling), Bailéad Ghrúpa (Ballad Group), Leiriú (Novelty Act) and/or Rince Seit (Set Dancing).
While for those who are good at quizzes, a Tráth na gCeisteanna {Table Quiz} will also take place.
The winning team in each event will go on to compete in the Leinster semi-finals on Saturday November 22.
Whilst the Leinster final, should you get that far, take places a couple of weeks later.
