Formerly of Garrons, Stradbally, Co. Laois. Predeceased by his parents Jack and Elizabeth and brother Christy.

Deeply regretted by his loving wife Michelle, daughters Nicole and Kandice, brothers John, Fergus, Paddy, Rory, Davy and Anthony, sisters Nuala, Patricia, Martina, Pauline, Ann and Betty, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Marlena Stanislawska
Rathgaline, Portlaoise, Laois

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Marlena Stanislawska on 25th October 2025. Formerly of Rathgaline Portlaoise.

She passed away in the tender care of the staff at Poznan Hospice in Poland surrounded with love by her family. Dearly loved wife to Marek and loving mother to Karolina and Filip, and his wife Agnieszka. Cherished grandmother to Dylan, Pola, Daniel and Timon. Her brother Ryszard. Nephews, nieces, relatives and many Friends.

Funeral has taken place in Poland.

Joan Brophy
Doonane, Carlow, Laois

Resident of Droimnin Nursing Home, Stradbally & formerly of 25 Doonane Road & 13 Doonane Terrace, Doonane, Carlow, Co. Laois

Joan bore her illness with incredible strength, and died peacefully in the loving care of the staff of Emo Court, Portlaoise Hospital.

Predeceased by her parents Maura & Patrick, baby Marian, sisters Mary, Julia, baby Margaret, brother Seamus, brothers-in-law Georgie, Frank, John & Pat, sister-in-law Patty, niece baby Bernadette and nephews Shane, Shane (Jnr) & Jamie

Deeply regretted by husband Jimmy, son James, daughter Joan, and son-in-law Chris, brother Edward, sisters Frances, Bridie, Christina & Annette, brothers-in-law Liam, John, Seamus. sisters-in-law, Nano, Peggy, Teresa, Maura, Bernadette, Claire, Bridget & Catherine, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, nieces and nephews in-law, relatives, friends and neighbours.

The family would like to thank all of the Doctors, Nurses, Carers and Health Care Professionals who looked after Joan over the years.

Reposing at Droimnin Nursing Home, Stradbally on Tuesday (4th Nov.) from 6pm, concluding with Vigil Prayers and Rosary at 8pm.

The Funeral Cortege will arrive at St. Abban’s Church, Doonane for Requiem Mass on Wednesday morning at 11am. Joan will be laid to rest thereafter in the adjoining cemetery. (House Private on Wednesday morning please)

Henry Percy
Templequain, Rathdowney, Laois

Henry Percy, Templequain, Rathdowney, Co. Laois, October 31st. 2025, peacefully at Fennor Hill Care Urlingford facility in his 90th. year.

Predeceased by his parents Henry and Annie and his sister Mary.
Deeply regretted by his brother Seàn, nieces Mary and Noreen, extended family, neighbours and a close circle of friends.

Reposing at O’Sullivan’s funeral home Rathdowney on Monday evening November 3 rd. from 5 o’clock pausing for prayers at 7 o’clock. Removal on Tuesday morning to the Church of the Most Holy Trinity, Rathdowney arriving for Requiem Mass at 11 o’clock. Interment afterwards in The Local Cemetery, Rathdowney.

Dysart, Portlaoise, Laois/Watergrasshill, Cork

Edward (Ned) Haslam. Dysart Portlaoise and Watergrasshill Co. Cork. Nov 1st 2025 Peacefully surrounded by his family. At the Midlands regional Hospital Tullamore Predeceased by his parents John and Ellen, and brothers Thomas and Abraham and sisters Mary and Josephine.

Dearly loved father to Thomas, Sharon, Edward, Lorraine, Damien, Conor and their mother Geraldine, Deeply regretted by his loving family. Sons in law, daughters in law. His adored grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Brother Robert, sisters Sheila, Bridget, and Teresa. Sister-in-Law, brothers-in-law. Extended family , nieces, nephews relatives. Former colleagues in the Transport industry. May he rest in peace.

Reposing at Keegans funeral home on Monday from 6.30 pm until 8 pm with rosary at 7.30 pm . Removal on Tuesday to arrive at SS Peter and Pauls Church Portlaoise for 11 am requiem mass. Interment will take place in his family plot in Ratheniska.

John Byrne

Peacefully in Milford Care Centre surrounded by his loving family.

Predeceased by his infant son John Patrick.

Deeply missed by his heartbroken family, wife Mary, children Karen, Stephen and Kieran, son-in-law Anthony, Kieran’s partner Rae, grandchildren Kate, Joe and Ted, brothers and sisters Martin, Pat, Fint, Tony, Margaret and Mary, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours and his many friends.

May John’s gentle soul Rest in Peace. John will repose in Mc Mahon’s Funeral Home Shannon on Sunday (2nd November) from 3pm to 4:30pm. Arriving for funeral Mass in Ss John and Paul Church Shannon on Monday (3rd November) at 9:30am followed by cremation in Shannon Crematorium at 11am.

Formerly of Upper Forest Mountmellick County Laois. Peacefully surrounded by her loving family at the Regional Hospital Tullamore.

Loving wife of the late Michael. Deeply regretted by her loving daughter Mary, sons George, Michael and Seamus, sister Mary, son-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at her residence (eircode R32 FA47) on Saturday evening from 6pm with Rosary at 8pm. Reposing at her residence on Sunday from 2pm until 6pm. Funeral arriving St Michael’s Church Portarlington on Sunday evening at 7:30pm. Requiem Mass on Monday morning at 10am. Funeral afterwards to St Michael’s Cemetery.

St Martins Borris Little, Portlaoise, Laois

Died peacefully, at home, surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his parents, brothers and sisters and his recently deceased sister, Mary.

Dearly loved husband of Mary, cherished father of Ian, Lorraine, Jimmy, Pauline, and Trevor, and much-loved brother of Colm.

He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his adored grandchildren Luke (and his wife Laura), Mark, Sarah, Rachel, Amy, Shaun, Kallum, Jamie, Emma Jane, Ben, and Anna, along with his daughters-in-law Geraldine (Greene) and Anne (Rankin), his son-in-law Michael (Fitzpatrick), extended family, neighbours, and friends.

Reposing at Keegans Funeral Home on Sunday 2nd November 2025 from 4pm to 6pm with rosary recital at 5.30pm. Requiem mass on Monday November 3rd at 12 pm in SS Peter and Paul’s Church, Portlaoise followed by interment in SS Peter and Paul’s Cemetery, Portlaoise.

Joey Tuohy, late of London, England. Formerly of Lakeglen and Marian Ave., Portlaoise. Passed away peacefully in the care of the North London Hospice.

He will be sadly missed by his wife Caroline. Step children Niamh, Shane and Robert. His brothers Frank, Jim, Mick and Noel. His Sisters, Margaret, Cathy, June, Angela and Ann. Deeply regretted by his cousins, Nieces and Nephews. Relatives and friends.

Predeceased by his first wife Kay. His Mother Hannah and brother Patrick. Sister in laws Clare and Rosie.

Thursday 6th November 2025 in St Marylebone Crematorium, East End Road, London, N2 0RZ, Service at 2.00pm.
