It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of Christopher (Christy), Late of Cork and Portloaise, who passed away on 10th of November, peacefully after a short illness bravely borne, in the presence of his loving family in the wonderful care of Doctors, nurses and staff of Tullamore Regional Hospital. Beloved husband of Theresa, cherished father of Selina, Noreen, Joleen and stepson John, adored son of Donie. Predeceased by his aunts Celia and Gretta.
Sadly missed by his loving family, all his grandchildren, sons-in-law David, Paddy, Martin, brothers Donie, Willie, Joey, sister Noreen, sister-in-law Kathleen, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and large circle of friends.
Reposing at Keohane’s Funeral Home on Wednesday, 12th of November from 5-6pm, with prayers at 5:45pm.
Requiem Mass will take place on Thursday, 13th of November at 12noon in The Church Of The Resurrection, Farranree, Cork,

Teach Mhuire Sandy Lane, Portarlington, Laois/Galway
Late of Raherneen, Killtullagh County Galway and retired Garda Sergeant, An Garda Síochàna. Peacefully surrounded by his loving family at the Midlands Regional Hospital Tullamore.
Predeceased by his beloved son Gerard, father Patrick, mother Delia, brothers Eddie, Liam, Brendan and Paddy, brothers-in-law Michael Shanahan and Peter Martin. Sadly missed by his loving wife Mary (nee Shanahan) Drombane Thurles, son Padraig (Patrick), daughters Marie and Carmel, sister Maureen, son-in-law PJ Kavanagh, daughter-in-law Susan Hall, grandchildren C.J. and his wife Rhiannon, Luke ,Enya-Su, Tara and her fiancè Artur, Joe and Conor, great-grandchildren Ava, Oscar and Harlow, sisters-in-law Bridie, Eileen and Mary, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours, former members of An Garda Síochàna and many friends.
Reposing at Mahers Chapel of Rest Portarlington (eircode R32 X5XV) on Tuesday evening from 5:30pm with Rosary at 8pm.
Removal from his residence on Wednesday morning at 11:15am arriving St Michael’s Church Portarlington (eircode R32 HY38) for Requiem Mass at 12 noon. Funeral afterwards to St Michael’s Cemetery Portarlington.

Susan Delaney (née Fitzgerald)

Died peacefully in her 92nd year surrounded by her loving family.
Predeceased by her loving husband John and her infant sons Edward and Brian, her parents, sisters and brother.
Survived by her children Yvonne, Seán, Annette, Breda, Thérèse and Deirdre, her adored sister Teresa, her cherished grandchildren and her great grandchild Mia, her nieces and nephews, daughter-in-law, sons-in-law, partners, relatives, neighbours and friends.
Reposing Moloney’s Funeral Home Mountmellick on Tuesday evening from 6pm. Recital of The Rosary at 7.30pm.
Reposing on Wednesday from 10am. Removal at 10.45am to St. Joseph’s Church for Mountmellick for Requiem Mass at 11am.
Burial after in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.

The death has occurred of Michael O’Gorman, Naas, Co. Kildare and formerly of Rathdowney, Co. Laois, suddenly on October 30, 2025.
He is predeceased by his parents Patrick and Agnes O’Gorman, brothers Eugene and Fergal and sister Geraldine.
Sadly missed by his loving brothers Liam, Pat and Thomas, sisters, Noeleen, Paula and Avril, aunt Noreen, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbors and friends.
Reposing on Friday from 5pm to 7pm with Prayers at 6.30pm at Murphy Brothers Funeral Home, Church Lane, Naas W91 VY71. Removal on Saturday to the Church of Our Lady and St. David, Naas arriving for 10am Mass.

Sadly missed by her husband Paul, sons Shane and Stephen, brothers Liam, Paddy, Raymond and Eddie, her five adored grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.
Reposing at her nieces home Dana, 25 Mountain View, Portlaoise at 8.00pm this Monday evening with rosary at 8.15pm (10th November 2025). Removal on Tuesday morning (11th November 2025) to The Church of the Assumption, The Heath for 12 noon Funeral Mass. Sarah Ann will then be laid to rest in St. Peter’s and Paul’s Cemetery, Portlaoise.

Maureen Hayes (née Cahill)

Maureen Hayes N.T. nee Cahill. Late of Sweetbriar Lawn , Tramore, Co. Waterford. Formerly of Ballacolla, Co. Laois
Maureen passed peacefully surrounded by her loving family at home, Sunday the 9th of November 2025. Predeceased by her beloved husband PJ; her brothers: Paddy and Son, and her sisters Cecilia and Katie.
Maureen will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her heartbroken children John, Conor and Ciara, her adoring grandchildren Jack, Annabel, Conor, Oscar and Killian; her brother Tom; her sister Breeda; her daughters-in-law Andrea and Bernie and her son-in-law Gary. Maureen will be fondly remembered by all her nieces and nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews, extended family, relatives, wonderful neighbours, and many friends.
The Hayes family would particularly like to thank The Waterford Palliative Care Team, the Hospice Night Nurses and all of those who cared for her in recent months.
Maureen’s reposal will take place in Falconer’s Funeral Home, Riverstown, Tramore X91TW21 on Wednesday the 12th of November from 6pm until 8pm.
All are welcome and refreshments will be served throughout.
Maureen’s Requiem Mass will take place on Thursday the 13th of November at 10am in The Church of the Holy Cross, Tramore, Co. Formerly of Kilcullen, Co. Kildare and Portarlington, Co. Laois. Peacefully, surrounded by her loving sister Denise and best friends Aisling and Catherine in the kind care of the staff of the Midland Regional Hospital, Portlaoise. Predeceased by her loving parents Margaret and Peppe Suris Mentos and nephew Anthony Jordan.
Giselle will be forever loved and sadly missed by her sister, her best friend’s, brother-in-law Leo, cousins, aunts, uncles, extended family and all who knew and loved her from around the world.

Bonham, Patrick (Pat), Bendigo, Victoria, Australia, formerly of Abbeyleix Co Laois. Saturday 1st November 2025, peacefully in his 99th year.
Beloved husband of Rhonda. He is survived by his nine children Catherine, Mary, Sean, Liam, Anne, Emma, Siobhan, Clare, Padraig, their spouses and partners Carlos, Carl, Gabrielle, Sally, Martin, Andreea, his 8 grandchildren and great grandchild, sister in law, nieces and nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.
He was predeceased by a grandchild and his 10 brothers and sisters.
