It is a massive week for Camross camogie club as they will contest the Leinster Intermediate club final at the end of it.
Aerien Delaney’s charges will take on Na Fianna of Meath in SETU Carlow at 1pm on Sunday.
They defeated defending Leinster champions St Brigid’s in the Laois final on October 25 and have played every weekend since.
Their Leinster journey began with victory away to Clonkill of Westmeath in the quarter final.
And then last weekend, they hosted Naas in the Leinster semi final where they once again advanced.
While success is brilliant, it does come at a cost and Camross have launched a GoFundMe to help cover them.
More than €8,500 has been raised since the fundraiser was launched and treasurer Geraldine Delaney says every donation counts.
She said: “Camross Camogie Club Intermediates have reached the Leinster Intermediate Club Final on Sunday 16th November.
“This is a massive achievement but very well deserved given the hard work and commitment shown by each and every member of the panel and management over the last 10 months.
“Whether it was 6am pitch sessions or 7am gym sessions, it was no problem for this bunch of girls!
“With such success comes with substantial expenses such as pitch hire with light, physios, strength and conditioning and recovery to name a few.
“We would really appreciate the support for this fundraiser to help us continue on our journey. No donation is too big or small.
“Thank you all in advance and for your continued support.”
