A Laois brother and sister have exploded on TikTok following their hilarious take on a trending song.

Portlaoise’s Abbey Louise (18) and Alfie (6) Byrne posted their rendition of ‘Anyone Else but You’ by The Mouldy Peaches.

The song achieved wider popularity after being featured on the soundtrack of the 2007 film Juno – and is currently trending on TikTok.

Abbey Louise, who attends Scoil Chriost Ri, posted the video alongside Alfie, who is a pupil in Holy Family Junior School, on Monday evening.

And at the time of posting this article, it has amassed more than eleven million views with nearly three million likes.

Abbey Louise, who was wing back on the Laois Minor team that claimed Leinster B glory in the summer, says she ‘couldn’t believe it’.

Aside from the video being funny, many of those who have commented remarked on how well both Louise and Alfie are able to sing also.

And speaking to LaoisToday, Abbey Louise explained how music is a big part of her family.

She said: “My mam Louise is actually a singer. She and I started a band last year called ‘My Girl’.

“We sing together in pubs and places like that.

“I used to be in stage school for a few years too and I was the main lead of our TY musical.”

Abbey Louise and Alfie’s video has attracted the attention of several well known figures and brands.

Mackenzie Ziegler from Dance Moms and Issac Presley from Stuck In The Middle on Disney are some of those.

Singer Lauren Spencer Smith, Irish influencers Ella Deasy and Shanice Griffin Irish tiktoker are among those who have either reposted or liked – along with Brenley Herrera who is a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader in the NFL.

Abbey Louise posted the video with the caption ‘He (Alfie) said I’ve to buy him a Lamborghini if we get viral’.

So now that this has been achieved, can Alfie expect to get on?

Abbey Louise said: “I’m going to bring him to Ken Blacks this week, that will have to do him!”
