George Gallagher, Sanmigul Moss Lane, Dublin Rd, Portlaoise, Co.Laois. Died November 27th Peacefully at the Midlands Regional Hospital Portlaoise in the presence of his brother Frank. Predeceased by his parents Lill and Tony, sister Carmel and his twin sister Ann. Deeply regretted by his brother Frank, sister Mary, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Keegan’s Funeral Home Portlaoise on Sunday November 30th from 6pm to 7pm with rosary at 6.30pm. Funeral arriving to SS Peter and Paul’s Church Portlaoise on Monday December 1st for 11am requiem mass followed by interment in SS Peter and Paul’s cemetery Portlaoise.

Michael (Mike) Flynn
Ross, Clonaslee, Laois

Michael (Mike) Flynn, Ross, Clonaslee, Co. Laois. Died peacefully on the 27th of November 2025, in the excellent care of the staff at the Midlands Regional Hospital Tullamore, surrounded by his loving family.

Predeceased by his parents Annie & Martin.

Deeply regretted by his loving wife Helen, his daughters Dawn & Cecilia, son-in-law Joe, his brother Martin, his sisters Nancy Guinan (Bunclody), Bridie Gorman (Blueball) & Margaret Treacy (Cappincur), mother-in-law Phyllis, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours & his many friends.

Reposing at the Hertitage Centre, Main street, Clonaslee on Sunday the 30th of November from 3 – 7pm, with Rosary at 7pm.

Funeral Mass on Monday 1st of December at 12 noon in St Manman’s Church, Clonaslee, with burial afterwards in St. Manman’s Cemetery, Clonaslee. Mike’s Funeral Mass can be viewed on www.churchmedia.tv by selecting County Laois.

Beaton Ernest Patrick (Pat) Ardskeabeg Ballyglunin Tuam Galway H54R896 and late of Ashington Cresent Dublin 7

Pat peacefully passed away at University Hospital Galway on the 28th November 2025 in his 86th year surrounded by his loving family, darling beloved husband of Una nee Deegan and adoring dad of Caroline, he will be very sadly missed by his heartbroken wife,daughter and son in-law Rachid Bounaaja his adorable grandchildren Nohaila, Layla and Adam, brothers in-law Hugh Deegan Stradbally Co. Laois , John Deegan and his wife Mary Tullamore Co. Offaly, predeceased by his brother Ken, cousins, relatives neighbours and close friends.

Reposing at St. Colman’s room adjoining St. Colman’s church Corofin H54X768 on Monday 1st December from 4pm to 5.30pm. Nora Kelly (née Byrne)
Church Avenue, Stradbally, Laois

The death has occurred of Nora Kelly (née Byrne) 15 Church Avenue, Stradbally, Co Laois, peacefully at her home on the 27th of November 2025 in her 92nd year surrounded by loving family. Predeceased by her beloved husband Tommy.

Nora will be sadly missed and forever loved by her sons, Donald (Doxy) and Pat, sister Judy, Donald’s partner Cindy, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, her good friend Maura, extended family, neighbours and her many friends.

Reposing at her home on Saturday from 3:30pm with Recital of the Rosary at 8pm. Requiem Mass on Sunday at 11:30am in the Sacred Heart Church, Stradbally and afterwards Nora will be laid to rest in Oakvale Cemetery.

Mixsey died at Kilminchy Lodge Nursing Home Portlaois on Wednesday 26th November.

He is predeceased by his wife Hilda,daughter Mary,grandson Johnny,brothers Jack and Tom and sister Nonie.

Deeply regretted by his loving daughter Geraldine,sons Michael,Joe,Colin and John,sons in law,daughters in law,grandchildren,great-grandchildren,relatives and friends.

Reposing in the Chapel of Rest adjoining The Church of The Most Holy Rosary Abbeyleix on Saturday evening from 6pm to 7.30pm.

Funeral Mass on Sunday at St.Brigid’s Church Ballinakill at 11am which can be viewed at http://www.ballinakillknockparish.com

Burial afterwards in St.Brigid’s Cemetery.

Barney Gannon
Park Lower, Stradbally, Laois

Barney passed away peacefully in his 82nd year in the company of his loving family. Predeceased by his mother and father Bridget and Michael.

Sadly missed by his heart broken wife Pauline, brothers Tom, Hughie, John and Pat, sisters Kathleen, Bridie and Betty, Godchildren Brendan, Sorcha, Jess and Hazel, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews, relatives neighbours and friends.

Barney will repose at his residence on Friday 28th and Saturday 29th from 4pm until recital of the Rosary at 8pm on both evenings. Removal by Whelehan Funeral Directors on Sunday afternoon at 12.30 to arrive at The Sacred Heart Church, Stradbally for 1pm Requiem Mass.Which can be viewed on the church webcam https://svtparish.ie/webcams ​​​​​​Interment to follow in Oakvale Cemetery.
