Laois punk folk band The Outcast Crew, together with producer Elliot Daniels, have earned a major accolade at this year’s Production Music Awards held at the O2 in London.
The group have been honoured by winning the Best Epic Hybrid Trailer Production Music Track 2025.
The annual awards celebrate excellence and innovation within the global production music industry, recognising the most creative libraries and standout compositions from around the world.
The winning track appears on the hard-hitting production music album Blinding Geezers, released on the label Sounds from the Echo District, part of Warner Chappell Production Music.
The album was written by Brian O’Mahoney, Elliot Daniels, and Darren Campbell Jenkins.
Known for its gritty, raw, and edgy sound, the project pushes stylistic boundaries.
While producing the album, Daniels believed that a contribution from The Outcast Crew — O’Mahoney’s own band — would perfectly match its fierce energy. His instincts proved right.
The Outcast Crew are no strangers to high-profile placements. Their track “Bound for Hell” was recently featured in the BBC documentary on The Kinahans, bringing their electrifying blend of punk and folk to an even wider audience.
Outside his role as lead singer of The Outcast Crew, Brian O’Mahoney also runs Audio Orchard, an Irish-based production music library representing a diverse roster of Irish, UK, and international composers.
With its expanding catalogue and growing talent base, Audio Orchard continues to emerge as a rising force in the global production music landscape.
This award marks an exciting milestone for The Outcast Crew, Elliot Daniels, Sounds from the Echo District, and the entire creative team behind Blinding Geezers, underscoring the international impact of Irish-driven production music.
The band comprises of Brian O’Mahoney (Vocals/Guitar), Finn O’Mahoney (Bass/Vocals), John Davidson (Fiddle/Vocals), David Harte (Banjo/Vocals), Damien O’Meara (Accordion/Vocals) and Paul Flynn (Drums).
Brian, Finn, David and Paul are all from Portlaoise while John is a native of Shanahoe.
