Grangenolvin of Kildare were crowned Leinster Junior club champions yesterday in SETU Carlow.
They got the better of Carlow side The Fighting Cocks by 1-12 to 1-8 to claim glory.
And there is a massive Laois connection to the success as they are managed by a former Laois footballer.
Arles-Kilcruise forward David Conway is at the helm this year and has enjoyed an incredible spell.
Back in October, Grangenolvin claimed Kildare success as they defeated Rathcoffey in the final – a first title in 20 years.
And that led them into Leinster where they went on an incredible run that culminated in this success.
There is also a big Knockbeg College connection to the current Grangenolvin connection.
Brothers Fionn, Conall, Cillian and Oran Bergin are all past pupils of the school.
While so too are brothers Lewis and James Gannon plus Gavin Ivory – all of whom also attended the Laois school.
Conway and his squad now have an All-Ireland semi final to look forward to in early 2026.
