Clonaslee High Nelly club announce plans for BUMBLEance fundraiser and open day

Clonaslee High Nelly Club have a very special festive day planned in Clonaslee this Friday, December 19.

The boys and girls in the playschool have been so good, Santa will be visiting again this year.

The annual seasonal visit will see elves accompanying Santa through the village with a selection of presents aboard the sleigh.

It coincides with an Open Day for Clonaslee High Nelly Club. As Christmas is truly the time of giving, the club is absolutely delighted to announce they will be joined by members of BUMBLEance Children’s Ambulance Service.

Thanks to the incredible and tireless team, hundreds of children have access to lifesaving care each year.

Members of the BUMBLEance team will be located outside Hickey’s Pub at 1pm, with the ambulance crew joining the High Nellies to answer any questions, meet and greet, enjoy a cup of tea and light refreshments, and of course photo opportunities. Santa is expected to make an appearance, too.

Clonaslee High Nelly Club said: “We cannot wait for December, 19th and encourage all who can attend to join us for our open day.

“By providing door-to-door journeys free of charge, the charity reduces anxiety, stress and expenses for parents.

“Each journey is tailored to ensure each child and parent depart with a smile on their faces. We are so pleased BUMBLEance can join us on the day.

“As we look ahead, members of the high nelly club will be undertaking a major cycle from Dublin to Shannon Harbour on 11th April 2026 in aid of the fantastic charity.

“The day will culminate with a homecoming in Clonaslee. We’ll be sharing more details on this effort in due course We look forward to supporting the amazing work of BUMBLEance Children’s Ambulance Service and welcoming more members to the flourishing club.

“So join us on December 19th, and meet the club! Chats and laughs guaranteed.”
