The death has occurred of Phina Kavanagh, Clonard, Kilbricken, Mountrath, Co. Laois, on the 17th December 2025, peacefully at her home, surrounded by her loving husband Pat and family.
Predeceased by her parents Tim and Josie, brother Michael and sister Breda.
Sadly missed and forever loved by her husband Pat, daughter Mary and sons Fenton, Michael and Ronan, grandchildren Conor, Rian, Aoife, Aisling, Sean, Ruaidhrí, Katie, Eoin, Tadhg and Lucy, sisters Nora and Mary, brother Frank, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, daughters-in-law June and Georgina, son-in-law Dave, nieces and nephews, family, relatives and a wide circle of friends.
Phina will repose in Burke’s Funeral Home, Mountrath eircode R32Y661, from 5pm on Thursday 18th December concluding with rosary at 8p.m.
Requiem Mass will take place in St. Fintan’s Church Mountrath, at 11 a.m. on Friday morning December 19th and afterwards Phina will be laid to rest in St. Fintan’s Cemetery, Mountrath, Co. Laois.

Agnes (Aggie) Hogan
Larrigan, Clonaslee, Laois
Agnes (Aggie) Hogan, Larrigan, Clonaslee, Co. Laois. Passed away peacefully on the 17th of December 2025 in the exceptional care of the staff of the Laurel Suite, Birr Community Nursing Unit.
Predeceased by her parents John & Mary Anne, siblings Mike, Peter, Kathleen & Willie, her uncle Dinny & her nephew Larry.
Aggie will be fondly missed by her sister Eileen (Mahon) Birr, nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, relatives, neighbours & friends.
Reposing at the Hertitage Centre, Main street, Clonaslee on Thursday the 18th of December from 4 – 7:30pm, with Rosary at 7:30pm.
Funeral Mass on Friday the 19th of December at 1pm in St Manman’s Church, Clonaslee, with burial afterwards in St. Manman’s Cemetery, Clonaslee. Aggie’s Funeral Mass can be viewed on www.churchmedia.tv by selecting County Laois.
Christine (Chrissie) Fenlon
Ballyadden, Ballybrittas, Laois
Peacefully surrounded by her loving family while in the excellent care of the staff of Oakdale Nursing Home Portarlington. Predeceased by her parents Christopher and Elizabeth, siblings Peter, Christopher, Mary-Teresa, Nicholas and Margaret. Deeply regretted by her loving brother Sean, sisters-in-law, nieces (especially Olivia and Antoinette), nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.
Removal on Thursday evening arriving The Sacred Heart Church Rath at 6:30pm. Requiem Mass on Friday at 12 noon. Funeral afterwards to Ballyadden Cemetery.
Philip (Willie) Treacy

Philip (Willie) Treacy, Rathmore, Ballybrophy, Co. Laois December 13th. 2025 suddenly and unexpectedly.
Predeceased by his parents Jeremiah and Peg, sisters Sheila and Mary, brothers William, James and Thomas and Stella and Denis who died at infancy.
Sadly missed and remembered with love by his wife Noreen, son James, daughter Tara, grandchildren Ellie and Harper, father-in-law Frank, brothers John, Des, Peter and Ger, sisters Breda, Anne, Carmel and Rita, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.
Reposing at his residence Rathmore, Ballybrophy (Eircode R32 EOA2) on Wednesday evening from 4 o’clock pausing for prayers at 7 o’clock.
Removal on Thursday morning to St. Canice’s Church, Borris-in-Ossory arriving for Requiem Mass at 11 o’clock. Interment afterwards in Derrinsallagh Cemetery.

Sean passed away unexpectedly on the 13th December 2025, following a tragic accident.
Sean is predeceased by his father John and his brother James (Jimmy).
Sean will be greatly missed and is deeply regretted by is devoted mother Breda, his heartbroken wife Barbara, much loved father of Hannah, Kevin, Jamie-Louise, Clodagh and Aaron, his grandson Rian, his brothers and sisters Liam, Mary, Gerry, Ann, Theresa, Paddy, Paul, Catherine and Stephen, his Aunts and Uncles, brothers in law, sisters in law, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, extended family, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.
Reposing at his residence, Coolbally, Clough, Ballacolla Co Laois (R32 KP28) on Thursday 18th December 2025 from 1pm pausing for the Rosary at 8pm. Requiem Mass on Friday 19th December 2025 in St Canice’s Church, Clough, Ballacolla, Co. Laois (R32 K003) at 12pm with burial immediately afterwards in St Fergal’s Cemetery, Ballacolla, Co Laois.

Vinie (Mary) Flaherty (née Horan)
Timahoe, Donadea, Kildare/Clonaslee, Laois
The death has occurred of Vinie (Mary) Flaherty nee Horan , Timahoe , Donadea , Co Kildare and formerly of Wranglestown, Clonaslee, Co. Laois, December 13th 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Predeceased by her parents Thomas and Mary, siblings Pat, Sheila, Denis, Terry, Tom, Matt and John. Beloved wife of the late Andy and adored mother of William, Tommy, Andrew and David.
Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her brothers Chris and Frank, sisters Anna-May and Bridget, daughters-in-law Catriona, Pat, Audrey and Shirley, grandchildren Pamela, Tommy, Declan, Yvonne, Ciara, Aoibheann, Michael, Andrew, Jarlath, Eimear and Muireann, great grandchildren, Aoibheann, Grace, Tommy and Aiobhe, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.
Vinie will be reposing at the home of her son Tommy (Bushfield House,Hodgestown, Donadea W91 AK4H) on Wednesday all day concluding with funeral prayers at 8.30pm. Requiem Mass on Thursday at 11am in the Church of Christ the King,Cooleragh, Coill Dubh, Co Kildare (W91 YPH2) followed by interment afterwards in St Benignus’ Cemetery, Staplestown, Co Kildare.
The family would like to thank Naas Hospital, Mount Pleasant Lodge Nursing Home and Connolly Hospital for the care that was given to Vinie.

Reposing at Rigney’s Funeral Home, Athy (R14 TX26) on Thursday evening (December 18th) from 5pm until the conclusion of the Rosary at 8pm.
Removal at 10.30am on Friday morning (December 19th) to arrive at St. Michael’s Parish Church, Athy for Requiem Mass at 11am, see livestream link http://www.parishofathy.ie. Burial afterwards in St. Michael’s New Cemetery, Athy.
