Moirty passed away unexpectedly on the 19th December 2025, at the Midlands Regional Hospital Portlaoise.
Sadly missed by his heartbroken parents Martin and Carol, son Martin, brothers Colin, Adrian and Gavin, sisters Emma (Cole), Edel (Jackson) and Áine. Deeply missed by his nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, relatives, neighbours and friends.
Moirty’s funeral arrangements will be announced on Monday 22nd December 2025
Mary McDonald (née Guilfoyle)
Clonan, Roscrea, Tipperary/Camross, Laois
Formerly of Garranbawn, Camross, Co. Laois.
Peacefully in the wonderful care of Kilminchy Lodge Nursing Home, Portlaoise.
Pre-deceased by her husband Tom, brothers Billy and Johnny, daughter-in-law Marian.
Deeply regretted by her sons Tom (Paul) and John, daughter Geraldine (Guidera), brother Tommie, sisters-in-law Marie, Maura and Ellen, son-in-law Dan, daughter-in-law Mary, her 12 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives, good neighbours and friends.
Reposing in Tierney’s Funeral Home, Roscrea (E53 NY70) on Monday evening from 5pm to 7pm. Removal on Tuesday morning from Tierney’s Funeral Home at 10.30am arriving at St.John the Baptist Church, Camblin (E53Y276) for Funeral Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in Roscrea old cemetery.
Noel Conlan
Station Court, Portarlington, Laois/Monasterevin, Kildare
Formerly of Oghill, Monasterevin County Kildare. Peacefully surrounded by his loving family while in the excellent care of the staff of Droimnin Nursing Home, Stradbally. Beloved husband of the late Iris. Deeply regretted by his loving family Josephine, Beverly, Noel, Sean, Kat, Bernadette, Dominic, Liam and Patricia, sister Moira, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sons-in-law ,daughters-in-law, partners, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.
Reposing at his residence (eircode R32 Y400) on Monday evening 22nd December from 2pm with Rosary at 8pm. Removal on Tuesday morning 23rd December at 9:40am (travelling via Oghill) arriving St Peter and Paul’s Church Monasterevin for Requiem Mass at 11am. Funeral afterwards to St Evin’s Cemetery Monasterevin.

Theresa Greene (nee Harding) Maryborough Village. Portlaoise. 19th December 2025.
Peacefully surrounded by her loving family. In the tender care of the staff of ICU at St James Hosital. Predeceased by her son William.
Beloved wife of Liam. And dearly loved mother to Raymond, Aidan, Brendan, Theresa, Derek, Elaine, Jason and Vincent.
Cherished grandmother to Joseph, Aoife, Darragh, Grainne, Tiarna, Niamh Aine, Astrid, Samuel, Daniel and Ava. Deeply regretted by her loving family. Brothers , sisters, Daughters in law Olivia, Mary and Georgina. Brothers in law, sisters in law, Nephew, nieces, Relatives and friends.
May she rest in peace. Reposing at Keegans funeral home on Sunday evening from 6.30 until 8pm with rosary at 7.30 pm. Removal on Monday morning to arrive at Ss Peter and Pauls Church Portlaoise for 11 am requiem mass. Interment will follow in SS Peter and Pauls cemetery
Edith Ward (née Abraham)
Eden House, Portlaoise Road, Portarlington, Laois/Mountrath, Laois
Formerly of Ballyhoran Camross Mountrath County Laois. Edith passed away peacefully on 20th December 2025 at home in the care of her son and daughter. Predeceased by her husband Denis and her brothers and sisters Barbara, Dick, Tom, Geraldine and Eric.
Edith will be lovingly remembered and missed beyond words by her loving son Adrian, daughter Gillian, son-in-law Adam, granddaughter Emily, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews, extended family and her close group of friends.
Reposing at Mahers Chapel of Rest Portarlington (eircode R32 X5XV) on Sunday evening from 5pm concluding with prayers at 7pm. Removal from her residence on Monday at 2pm (travelling via Foxcroft Street) arriving St Paul’s Church French Church Street (eircode R32 DW77) for Funeral Service at 2:30pm. Burial afterwards in the adjoining Churchyard.
