On a memorable Sunday in December, Camross won the All Ireland intermediate camogie final in Croke Park
There were wild scenes of celebration as Camross made camogie history in Croke Park on Sunday.
They were crowned All-Ireland Intermediate club camogie champions – becoming the first side from Laois to achieve the feat.
It’s a first All Ireland triumph for the club with a male or female team and is serious triumph for a club and community that live and breathe hurling.
On the second last Sunday before Christmas, they travelled up to Jones Road in large numbers for what was a wonderful occasion.
Camross had heroes all over the pitch and dominated the second half to complete a dream year.
They started the campaign on the back of three Laois final losses in a row but end it as Laois, Leinster and All Ireland champions.
They have beaten teams from Westmeath, Kildare, Meath, Galway and now Cork to achieve the feat.
Once they hit the front against Ballincollig after a Sarah Anne Fitzgerald goal in the 39th minute, they never looked back.
Photographer Paul Dargan was present in Croke Park on Sunday and captured some great images.
