The draw has been made for the 2026 edition of the Laois GAA pre-season football competition – the Kelly Cup.
Nine teams have entered the competition this year and they have been split into three groups.
Group A contains O’Dempsey’s, Arles-Killeen and St Joseph’s while Group B has Clonaslee-St Manman’s, Stradbally and Ballyroan-Abbey.
Group C contains Killeshin, Crettyard and Rosenallis with just the group winners guaranteed a semi final place.
The fourth semi final place will be taken by the highest placed runner up across the three groups.
The competition runs throughout February with games beginning the weekend of February 6/7.
The semi finals are on February 27/28 with the final scheduled for Wednesday, March 11.
Unlimited substitutions is permitted, but once a player is substituted he cannot return to the field of play for the duration of the game, including penalty shootout where applicable.
In the event of a draw in semi-finals or finals, the game will go straight to a penalty shoot out as there will be no extra time.
St Joseph’s are the reigning champions after they defeated Killeshin in the final last year.
The order of the fixtures will be published on the Laois GAA website in the coming days.
