Laois senior hurling team named for National League Division 2 clash with Mayo

The Laois senior hurling team to face Mayo in Round 1 of the National Hurling League has been named.

Tommy Fitzgerald has named a team which shows six changes from the side that started the Joe McDonagh Cup season ending defeat to Kildare last summer.

Jordan Walshe, Diarmaid Conway and Ben Conroy and ruled out of the team through injury.

Mark Dowling is named among the subs while Paddy Purcell and Jer Quinlan are not with the panel.

Camross’ Eoin Gaughan is named at midfield while the returning Jack Kelly is selected at centre forward.

Borris-Kilcotton’s Aaron Dunphy is the fifth change while the final one is the only debut – Clough-Ballacolla’s Cillian Dunne.
