Laois GAA and Ladies club come together for golf classic fundraiser

Portarlington Golf Club

Emo GAA and St Paul’s LGFA are set to host a fundraising Golf Classic in Portarlington Golf Club on Friday, May 9.

The two clubs are coming together in a bid to enhance the facilities that they already have.

This will be a four person team event with the cost of entry being €120.

Anyone willing to sponsor a tee box can do so for €50 while board sponsorship will also be available.

Pauric Booth, secretary of Emo GAA, said: ” This will be their first Golf Classic in a few years and we are hoping it will be a brilliant event.

“The money raised from the Golf Classic will be going to the upgrading development work being carried out in the Emo grounds.

“This is including the state of the art ball wall floodlights that are currently being installed as well as the training ball wall which is also currently in progress.

“This will only enhance the fantastic facilities that are already in Emo GAA grounds and creating a better experience for all the players and families who use the facilities.

“Your help and support will be gratefully appreciated.”

To book a tee, contact Pauric Booth on 087-6333713 or Trevor Byrne on 086-3149442.
