The Creative Media students from Portlaoise Institute have announced their first Annual Photography Exhibition, taking place at Portlaoise Library.

The public is warmly invited to attend to the official launch of the exhibition at 6pm on Thursday, May 8, running until Friday, May 16.

This special event marks an exciting opportunity to view the innovative and thought-provoking work of the Institute’s Creative Media students, as they showcase a diverse range of
photographic styles, techniques, and personal perspectives.

This student-led exhibition represents months of dedication, learning, and artistic exploration.

From striking portraits and moody landscapes to conceptual storytelling through images, each piece reflects the creativity and vision of emerging media talent in Laois.

“This is more than just an exhibition – it’s a celebration of creativity and the power of visual storytelling,” said Portlaoise Institute Principal Keith McClearn.

“We’re incredibly proud of our students and thrilled to share their work with the wider public.”

The exhibition is free to attend and suitable for all ages.

Whether you are a photography enthusiast, a supporter of local arts, or simply curious, this is a must-see event on the local cultural calendar.
