Antony Perissato de Aguiar
Maryborough Village, Portlaoise, Laois

We are devastated to announce that our little man Antony Perissato de Aguiar, age 7, passed away unexpectedly and peacefully at the Crumlin Hospital on the 4th June with his loving parents.

Antony was healthy and full of joy playing in a bouncy castle in a beautiful day when he suffered from a sudden heart condition.

Dad, Raphael, and Mom, Karla, are very blessed to have Antony as their child and he will be forever missed by his little brother, Gianlucca, his cousin, Isaac, his beloved grandparents, Sandra, Rogerio, Maeli, Carlos and Solange, and his many friends from our Brazilian community, his school, Scoil Bhride and his after-school, After the Bell.

Reposing at Keegan’s Funeral Home, Portlaoise on Sunday 8th June from 2pm to 4pm with prayers at 3pm. A private cremation will take place on Monday.

Breda Hanrahan
Bayswell, Crosspatrick, Kilkenny/Portlaoise, Laois

Breda Hanrahan, Portlaoise Co. Laois and formerly Bayswell, Crosspatrick, Co. Kilkenny June 5th. 2025, peacefully in Ashley Lodge Nursing Home, Kildare. Predeceased by her parents Michael and Bridget , brothers Sean, Tim and Liam, sisters Sheila and Sr. Margaret, sister-in-law Annie and nephew Michael. Deeply regretted by her brothers Michael and Tony, sister Mary, brother-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and a close circle of friends.

Reposing at Doyle’s Funeral Home, Urlingford (Eircode E41 XO38) on Sunday evening June 8th. from 5 o’clock until 7 o’clock. Removal on Monday morning to St. Michael’s Church, Crosspatrick arriving for Requiem Mass at 11 o’clock. Interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

John Drea
Portlaoise, Laois/Carlow/Athy, Kildare

John (Jackie) Drea. Ridge Rd. Portlaoise and late of Carlow and Athy. June 4th 2025 Following a short illness. Deeply missed by his loving wife Brenda. Sister Ann Muphy. Brothers in law Noel and Ben. Sisters in law Miriam, Theresa and Mary Angela (recently deceased) . Nephews, nieces, cousins. Relatives,the extended Marum family, neighbours and friends. Former colleagues in Tegral.

Reposing at Keegans Funeral Home on Friday from 6.30 pm until 8 pm with rosary at 7.30 pm. Removal on Saturday to arrive at SS Peter and Paul’s Church for 11 am requiem mass. Interment will follow in SS Peter and Pauls Cemetery, Portlaoise.

Mary Kearney (née Conran)
Knocklyon, Dublin/Mountmellick, Laois

Kearney, Mary (née Conran) (late of Knocklyon, Dublin and Mountmellick, Co. Laois) 3rd June 2025, peacefully, in Our Lady’s Hospice, Harold’s Cross. Beloved wife of the late Seamus, loving mother of Eleanor, Claire, William and James and adored grandmother to James, Michelle, Aoife and Maeve; she will be sadly missed by her loving sons, daughters, son-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, brothers, sister, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and a large circle of friends.

Funeral service to celebrate Mary’s life will take place at 4pm on Saturday (7th June) in the Victorian Chapel, Mount Jerome Crematorium, Harold’s Cross (followed by cremation). No flowers by request donations if desired, to Our Lady’s Hospice, Harold’s Cross.

Bridie Reid (née Dowling)
Dunboyne, Meath/Emo, Laois

REID (née Dowling), Bridie (Dunboyne, Co. Meath and formerly of Emo, Co. Laois) June 1st, 2025, suddenly but peacefully, at her home. Beloved wife of Thomas and cherished mam of Thomas Jnr., Marilyn, Elizabeth, Jonathan, Natasia, Samantha, Damien, Sonia, Bridget and Jacqueline.

Sadly missed by her loving husband, sons, daughters, sons-in-law Aidan, Sean, Andrew, David, Eamon and Derrick, daughters-in-law Jane and Linda, grandchildren Matthew, Daniel, Jack, Lauren, Leah, Sean, Calvin, Jonah, Sarah, Ciaran, Ella, Niamh, Alex, Abi, Jay, Josh, Luca, Rosie and Baby Rochford-to-be, sisters, brothers, nephews, nieces, extended family and friends.

Reposing at Cunningham’s Funeral Home, Dunboyne on Friday evening (6th June) from 5pm to 8pm.

Removal to S. S. Peter and Paul’s Church, Dunboyne on Saturday morning (7th June) arriving for Requiem Mass at 11am followed by burial in Rooske Cemetery, Dunboyne.
