James (Jimmy) Murphy
Portlaoise, Laois/Ballyfermot, Dublin

Murphy James (Jimmy) (Late of Portlaoise and formerly of Ballyfermot and Inchicore) 6th June, 2025 peacefully, predeceased by his dad Bobby, mam Helen and brother John (Pat), very sadly missed by his sister Bernadette, brother’s Robert and David, sisters-in-law Liza and Olivia, brother-in-law Paul, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, relatives and friends.

James will be reposing at Stafford’s Funeral Home, Ballyfermot on Thursday 12th June from 12pm to 2pm. A committal service and a celebration of James’s life will take place afterwards at 2pm in Stafford’s Funeral Home.

Helen Ryan (née Abbott)
Deanswood, Borris-in-Ossory, Laois

Helen Ryan (nee Abbott) 17 Deanswood, Borris-in-Ossary Co. Laois died June 7th 2025.

Beloved daughter of the late William and Eileen Abbott.

Deeply regretted by her loving sons Derek Mark and Jamie, sisters Connie and Tricia, brothers Tony, Willie, Declan and Brendan, grandchildren, uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews, daughters-in-law Aideen and Jess, brothers-in-law Conrad and Mark, sisters-in-law Katzy and Louise, neighbours, relatives and her many friends.

Helen will repose in her home (R32C7KW) on Monday from 5pm. Recital of the Rosary at 8pm. Removal from her home on Tuesday morning arriving to St. Canices Church for Requiem Mass at 11am followed by cremation service afterwards.

Family time in her home on Tuesday morning.

Patricia Mulhall (née Farrell)

Patricia Mulhall (nee Farrell) 12 River View Ridge Road Portlaoise , Co. Laois (R32 XH 56).

Beloved daughter of the late Cristine and Paddy Farrell St.Johns Square, wife of Paddy Mulhall.

Predeceased by her siblings Michael, Billy, Eileen and Mary.

Deeply regretted by her daughter Jennifer (Scully) and her son Chris, her sisters Margaret(Conroy), Catherine, Esther, Geraldine, her brothers Paddy, Noelie and David, son-in -law Richard and daughter-in -law Bernadine, grandchildren Bobby, Heidi, Molly and Moyà, nieces, nephews, neighbours, relatives and her many friends.

Reposing in her home on Sunday from 5pm. Recital of The Rosary at 8pm.

Funeral arriving SS Peter and Paul’s Church Portlaoise on Monday for Requiem Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in SS Peter and Paul’s Cemetery.

Antony Perissato de Aguiar
Maryborough Village, Portlaoise, Laois

We are devastated to announce that our little man Antony Perissato de Aguiar, age 7, passed away unexpectedly and peacefully at the Crumlin Hospital on the 4th June with his loving parents.

Antony was healthy and full of joy playing in a bouncy castle in a beautiful day when he suffered from a sudden heart condition.

Dad, Raphael, and Mom, Karla, are very blessed to have Antony as their child and he will be forever missed by his little brother, Gianlucca, his cousin, Isaac, his beloved grandparents, Sandra, Rogerio, Maeli, Carlos and Solange, and his many friends from our Brazilian community, his school, Scoil Bhride and his after-school, After the Bell.

Reposing at Keegan’s Funeral Home, Portlaoise on Sunday 8th June from 2pm to 4pm with prayers at 3pm. A private cremation will take place on Monday.

Breda Hanrahan
Bayswell, Crosspatrick, Kilkenny/Portlaoise, Laois

Breda Hanrahan, Portlaoise Co. Laois and formerly Bayswell, Crosspatrick, Co. Kilkenny June 5th. 2025, peacefully in Ashley Lodge Nursing Home, Kildare. Predeceased by her parents Michael and Bridget , brothers Sean, Tim and Liam, sisters Sheila and Sr. Margaret, sister-in-law Annie and nephew Michael. Deeply regretted by her brothers Michael and Tony, sister Mary, brother-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and a close circle of friends.

Reposing at Doyle’s Funeral Home, Urlingford (Eircode E41 XO38) on Sunday evening June 8th. from 5 o’clock until 7 o’clock. Removal on Monday morning to St. Michael’s Church, Crosspatrick arriving for Requiem Mass at 11 o’clock. Interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
