Baldoyle, Dublin/Stradbally, Laois

MCGLUE – WILLIAMS (née BREW), Lucy (Elizabeth) – 1 July 2025 – (late of Baldoyle and Stradbally). Predeceased by her first husband Larry and her second husband Jimmy. Suddenly but peacefully.

She will be sadly missed by her loving children Ian, Robert, Simon and Liz, their partners Sandra, Jennifer, Aisling and Paul, grandchildren Cian, Oisin, Freya, Siann, Lauren, Larry and Heilyn, brothers William and Martin, sisters Noeleen and Susan, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Fitzgerald’s Funeral Directors, Bayside on Friday from 3pm to 5pm.

Funeral Mass on Monday morning at 11:30 am in St. Peter & Paul’s Church, Baldoyle followed by burial in Fingal Cemetery.

Pauline Ryan (née Hayes)
Ballysimon, Limerick/Tipperary/Portlaoise, Laois

Woodlawn Park, Ballysimon, Limerick and formerly of Portlaoise.

Peacefully, in the comfort of her home, on 1st July 2025 surrounded by her devoted and loving family.

Predeceased by her parents Elizabeth & Augustine Hayes, her beloved sisters Maureen and Gene and her infant daughter Mary.

Pauline will be deeply missed by her devoted husband John, her cherished children Lisa, Jean and Jack, adored grandchildren Jake, Alex, Ella, Jack, Mabel, Maya, Noah and great- granddaughter Faye, daughter-in-law Michelle,

sons-in-law Michael and Tomi, by her loving brother Gus, nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, relatives, neighbours and many friends.

Reposing at Griffin’s Funeral Home, John’s Gate on Wednesday, 2nd July from

5pm to 6.30pm. Funeral arriving at St. Brigid’s Church, St. Patrick’s Road, on Thursday, 3rd July for Requiem Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in Castlemungret Cemetery, Mungret.

John Robert Patterson
Ballymorris, Portarlington, Laois/Leitrim

Formerly of Corrawallen County Leitrim. John passed away peacefully at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his father Walter and mother Lula.

Sadly missed by his loving wife Rhoda, son Philip, daughter-in-law Aisling, adoring granddaughter Penelope, brothers and sisters Edith, Joe, Florence, Kenneth and Shirley, brothers-in-law Arthur, Robin and Greg, sisters-in-law Ann, Kathryn and Annie, nephews, nieces, the family circle, fellow work colleagues over the years, neighbours and many friends.

Paddy Hughes
Arden Road, Tullamore, Offaly/Laois

Formerly of Kilcavan, Co. Laois (Former Managing Director of Bord na Móna) Paddy passed away in the presence of his devoted family at St. James’s Hospital, Dublin.

Cherished and deeply loved by his beloved wife Sadie, his children Majella, Conor, Paddy, and Cathal, his daughters-in-law Gillian, Paula, Deirdre and Majella’s partner Seamus, and his adored grandchildren Nicole, Christopher, Isobelle, Charlie, Daisy, Paddy, and John.

Paddy’s warmth, wisdom, and kindness will live on in each of them. Predeceased by his parents, Paddy and Kathleen, his dear sisters Kathleen and Betty, and his brother John. He will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by his extended family; his remaining brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and by the many friends whose lives he touched with his generosity and good humour. Paddy’s legacy of love, leadership, and laughter will remain forever in the hearts of all who knew him.

Reposing at O’Reilly’s Funeral Home, Harbour Street, Tullamore (R35 FC84) on Wednesday from 6.30pm until Rosary at 8pm.

Removal on Thursday morning to the Church of the Assumption, Tullamore, arriving for Funeral Mass at 10am. Burial after Mass in St. Colmcille’s Cemetery, Durrow.

Ann Deegan (née Kerry)
Slatt House, Wolfhill, Laois, R14E771/Portlaoise, Laois/Athy, Kildare

Formerly of John Square, Portlaoise. Peacefully, in Droimnin Nursing Home on Sunday, 29th June, 2025.

Predeceased by her husband Pauge. Ann will be sadly missed and forever remembered by her loving children, daughter Dolores and son-in-law Pat Keogh and their sons Richard, Patrick and Michael, her son Maurice and his family Sheena and Jake and their mother Brigid, Zara and her mother Mary, her son Padraig and daughter-in-law Ursula and their family Sarah, Noelle, Tadgh, Lola and Luna. Deeply regretted by her loving sisters and brothers Maura, Brenda, Donal, Micheál, Declan and John, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Many happy and loving memories of Ann will live on through her precious grandchildren and their partners and her great-grandchildren Amy, Katie, Ellie Ann, Jade, Evan, Alex, Arlie, Martin, Louise, Isla and JJ.

Ann will repose at her home, Slatt House Wolfhill on Tuesday (July 1st) from 2pm to 8pm. Ann will leave her home at 2.45pm on Wednesday afternoon (July 2nd) for burial in Wolfhill graveyard at 3pm.

Myra Irene Bradley (née Shirley)
Ballyloo, Nurney, Carlow/Ballickmoyler, Laois

The death has occurred of Myra Irene Bradley (née Shirley)of Ballyloo, Nurney, Co. Carlow on 29th June, 2025 in her 93rd year.

Cherished wife of the late William James (Jim) Bradley. Predeceased by her sister Vera and her brothers George, John and Robert. Surrounded by her family at Ashfield Hall.

Beloved mother of Annette, Miriam and Emily and adored grandmother of Mark and Tara Sweetnam, Matthew, Reuben and Rianna Clarke, mother-in-law of Harold Sweetnam and George Clarke, sister-in-law of Wilfred Atkinson.

Fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, neighbours and pupils of Shangarry National School.

Myra will be reposing at Ashfield Hall, Ballickmoyler, Laois R93 YH94 on Wednesday (2nd July) from 2pm until 8pm.

Myra will be remembered in a service at St. John’s Church, Nurney at 11.30am on Friday (4th July) followed by burial in the adjoining churchyard.

A donation box will be at St. John’s Church, Nurney for St. Fiacc’s House, Graiguecullen, Carlow, if desired.

Mark Prager, Blubell Cottage, Sherwood, Kilbride, Co. Carlow and formerly of Springhill, Killeshin, Carlow, Co. Laois.

Predeceased by his parents and stepdad Pat O’Tierney. Deeply regretted and fondly remembered by his son Daniel, sister Catherine, brother Patrick, nephews and nieces Alannah, Caoimhe, Éibhear and Ronan, Aunts and Uncles John, Celeste, Elaine, Michael and Ian, relatives and friends.
