Portarlington GAA hosting fundraising draw with ‘incredible prize’ up for grabs

A Laois GAA club are are hosting a fundraising draw with an “incredible prize” up for grabs.

Portarlington GAA are selling tickets to the draw for €10, with all the proceeds going towards the club’s senior football team.

One lucky winner will nab themselves a pair of tickets to Croke Park for the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship Final – as well as a pair of tickets to Croker for the All-Ireland Senior Football Championship Final.

The hurling final is on Sunday, July 20, with the semi-finals this weekend where Cork beat Dublin on Saturday and this is followed by Kilkenny against Tipperary on Sunday.

The football final is the following Sunday, July 27, with the semi-finals next weekend featuring Kerry against Tyrone and Meath against Donegal.

The draw will be held on Sunday, July 13.

The Portarlington senior footballers are preparing to defend their Laois SFC crown, having beaten Portlaoise in the 2024 final to win the club’s fourth title in five years.

Portarlington will begin the defence of their title on Wednesday, July 23, (in between both All-Ireland finals) with a return to O’Moore Park when they take on The Heath.
