The Junior ‘A’ and ‘B’ hurling championships got underway this evening with a handful of games down for decision around the county.
Camross and Portlaoise met again – in the Junior ‘A’ grade this time – after Sunday’s controversial senior affair but there was no doubt about the result on this occasion with Camross’s third string having six points to spare over Portlaoise’s second team.
Colt-Shanahoe had a big win over Castletown in the Junior ‘B’ while Rathdowney-Errill got the better of Mountrath. Also in the Junior ‘B’ grade, Ballinakill gave Ballyfin a walkover.
