Celebrity stylists Doran and Maher to host Laois Family, Fun and Fashion Day for Breakthrough Cancer Research

Celebrity stylists Marrietta Doran and Mandy Maher are coming to Laois to host a Breakthrough Cancer Research Family, Fun and Fashion Day.

The event will take place at Fitz Of Inch in Stradbally on Sunday, August 17.

This family-friendly event promises a day filled with joy, laughter, and togetherness, featuring live music and entertainment that showcases local talent throughout the day.

Attendees can look forward to a vibrant fashion show with a Festival Chic theme, encouraging everyone to wear their most beautiful festival garden party outfits.

Celebrity stylists Doran and Maher will serve as judges for the highly anticipated Best Dressed competition, where the winner will receive a €1,000 Fitz of Inch gift voucher.

While this is a free event to attend, it is a ticketed event, and tickets are available now on Eventbrite here.

“It’s a true honour to be part of such a joyful day,” Ms Maher said. “I’m thrilled to judge ‘Best Dressed’ at the summer festival. Style is an expression of spirit, and I can’t wait to see yours shine.”

Ms Doran echoed those sentiments, saying: “I am so happy and truly honoured to be invited to take part in this wonderful day out in aid of Breakthrough Cancer Research. I am so looking forward to meeting everyone, seeing all the style and judging the best dressed competition on the day.”

In addition to the fashion highlights, the day will include a crafts fair featuring talented local artisans, as well as delicious food and refreshing beverages available for purchase.

Families can engage in classic games during the Old Fashioned Sports Day activities, designed to encourage friendly competition and fun for all ages.

A dedicated area for kids will offer exciting entertainment, including games, face painting, and bouncing castles.

Adding to the excitement, a charity raffle will provide attendees with the chance to win amazing prizes such as gift cards, household decor, and makeup artist vouchers, with all proceeds going to Breakthrough Cancer Research.

“This event is more than just a day of entertainment; it’s a chance to make a difference in the fight against cancer,” organisers said.

“Join us as we come together as a community to support Breakthrough Cancer Research and help create a future where more people can celebrate life after cancer.”

All proceeds will directly support Breakthrough Cancer Research, contributing to innovative studies and treatments for cancer patients.

Speaking about the event, Orla Dolan, CEO of Breakthrough Cancer Research, said: “This family fun day is just that – full of fun, fashion, music, creativity, and joy, and with the amazing outcome of also bringing hope to so many.

“We are so grateful to Michael, the Fitz of Inch team, Marrietta, Mandy, and everyone involved for choosing to support our research, so together we can make more moments, more milestones, and more life after cancer.

“With every ticket, every outfit worn, and every laugh shared, you’re helping to fund the breakthroughs that will save lives.”
