Electric Picnic coverage is brought to you in association with Ramsbottom’s PortlaoiseThe Electric Picnic rumour mill is in overdrive this afternoon with talks that one of music’s biggest stars is set to make a surprise appearance today.
Scottish singer Lewis Capaldi has been spotted at Junction 14 in Kildare and has posed for pictures with adoring fans.
It is rumoured that Capaldi is on his way to Stradbally where he is likely to surprise fans.
It is speculated that Capaldi could take to the Main Stage alongside Sam Fender this evening.
Fender is due to play from 9.30pm to 11pm and fans will be hoping that Capaldi will join him at some point.
Aaron Rowe is Capaldi’s support act for his upcoming 2025 shows and it is also possible that he is here to support him – with Rowe on the Main Stage at 2pm.
Capaldi was due to play Electric Picnic in 2023 but withdrew due to medical reasons and was replaced by fellow Scotsman Paulo Nutini.
It is all rumour at this stage but it certainly sets up an exciting Saturday at Electric Picnic.
