There hugely popular, high quality, long-running Clonaslee Show takes place this Sunday, September 14.
National IFA President Francie Gorman will once again be in attendance as a special guest.
The Clonaslee Show has endured all sorts of events over the years but has survived and thrived for more than 70 years now and with good weather forecast, it promised to be another brilliant day out this year once again.
It’s a sign of the enduring quality of the agricultural show and the people involved that it’s still going strong after all these years.
1948 was the first year it was hosted; in more recent times it has moved to its current location adjacent to the Clonaslee Community Centre.
Combining competitions with entertainment and exhibitions, the show has an overall prize fund of €20,000.

- Music by the Buckleys and Joe Wynne
- Tug of War
- Irish Dancing
- Vintage Display

- All Ireland Gain Dog competition
- Poultry tent
- Draw on the day with €2,500 in prizes
- Cattle/sheep/equestrian/vegetables/flowers/cookery/crafts/photography competitions and much more
Entry is €10 for adults and children are free.
