Roll ‘n Bowl set for official relaunch with beautiful new look

There’s hardly a parent in the county that hasn’t been to Roll ‘n Bowl in Portlaoise at some stage.

With its soft play area, bowling, laser quest and roller-skating and soccer area upstairs, it has always been a hugely popular place for children, and by obvious extension, children’s birthday parties.

But anyone who has been through the doors in recent weeks will have noticed plenty of change.

Following a change of ownership – it has been taken over by Shane Murphy, who has similar premises in K Bowl in Kilkenny and Rock ‘n Bowl in Mullingar – the whole inside area has been given a whole new look.

While the iconic name remains the same, the entrance area has changed, there’s a new and improved cafe, the branding has been entirely altered and the toilets have been completely revamped. There’s plans to upgrade the food offerings with the party packages in the coming months now too.

The whole business has been subject to considerable investment as it looks to build on its popularity of old and revamping to look to the future.

It is now open seven days a week and is under the watchful eye of general manager Enda Murray, who is looking after both the Portlaoise and Mullingar centres now.

This Sunday, September 14, there is an official re-launch party with entertainment inside and outside with additional bouncing castles, prize giveaways and a live broadcast with Midlands 103.

Though bookings are essential on Sunday, all activities are half price and anyone who goes through the doors can’t but impressed by the new image.

Roll ‘n Bowl has been a much-loved destination for more than 20 years.

But with a new look, it’s all set for an exciting new era.
