Carmel Cooper (née Walsh)
Walkinstown, Dublin/Maganey, Laois

The Death has occurred of Carmel Cooper (née Walsh) late of Walkinstown Dublin 12.

Who died peacefully in her 95th year on the 4th of October 2025 in the wonderful care of the staff at Marymount Care Centre, Westmanstown, Lucan Co. Dublin. Beloved wife of the late James (Jimmy) Cooper and dear mother of Robert and Marita, grandmother to Stephen and Emma.

Carmel will be very sadly missed by her loving family, friends and particularly her many loyal friends from St Agnes Church Crumlin who were a great support to Carmel during her final years.

The family would like to offer their sincere thanks to the marvellous staff at Marymount Care centre where Carmel was so happy and well cared for her last number of years.

Reposing at Marymount Care Centre, Lucan (K78 FD29), on Tuesday from 6pm to 8pm. Funeral Mass on Wednesday at 10am in St. Agnes Church, Crumlin Village followed by Burial in St Abbans Church Cemetery, Killeen, Co. Laois (R93 HK58) arriving at approximately 1pm.

Bridget (Bridie) Duggan (née Guilfoyle)
Askeaton, Limerick/Portlaoise, Laois

Bridget (Bridie) Duggan (nèe Guilfoyle), late of Craggs, Barrigone, Askeaton, Co. Limerick.

Passed away on 4th October after a short illness in University Hospital Limerick at the age of 83 years.

Predeceased by her parents, brothers and sisters.

Survived by her loving family, husband Chris, son Christopher, daughter Bridget, grandchildren Rebecca, Melissa, Noreen, Louise and Maurice, great grandchildren Lucy & Seàn, relatives and friends.

Reposing at St. Senan’s Church Shanagolden (V94 T882) this Wednesday evening 8th October from 5pm to 6.30pm. Requiem Mass on Thursday 9th October at 12 noon in Shanagolden Church followed by burial afterwards in Rheilig Mhuire Graveyard Askeaton.

Family flowers only please, donations in lieu if desired to Dementia Ireland and Stroke Unit UHL.

Mary Moylan
The Cottages, The Green, Stradbally, Laois, R32 XA66/Walkinstown, Dublin

Formerly of Kilnamanagh Rd., Walkinstown, Dublin 12, and Late of The Cottages, The Green, Stradbally.

Pre deceased by her Mam Eileen and Dad Larry. Mary passed away peacefully, aged 70, surrounded by her loving family in the wonderful care of the Muiríosa Foundation.

Mary was a cherished sister, a devoted aunt, and a wonderful friend whose warmth touched every heart she met.

She will be lovingly remembered by her brothers Tom and Laurence, sisters Ruth and Eileen, brother in law, sisters in law, partner, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, extended family, relatives and friends, especially her dear housemates in Cottage 1.

Reposing at her home; Cottage 1, The Cottages, The Green, Stradbally (Eircode R32 XA66) on Tuesday 7th October from 4pm – 7pm, with Rosary Recital at 6.30pm.

A celebration of Mary’s life will take place on Wednesday 8th October at 11am in Church of the Sacred Heart, Stradbally, after which she will be laid to rest in Newlands Cross Cemetery, Co. Dublin at 1.30pm.

Peacefully surrounded by his loving family at the Mater Hospital after a illness bravely borne.

Predeceased by his father Jack, mother Nellie and brother Robert. Deeply regretted by his loving wife Angela, daughters Michelle, Sinead and Niamh, son-in-law Eoin, Niamh’s partner Cormac, his two adoring granddaughters Emma and Eabha, brothers Paddy, Noel and Wally, sisters Imelda (Fitzpatrick) and Kathleen (Hendy), brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and a large circle of friends.

Predeceased by her parents John and Mary Brophy also known as Jack Maher and Molly.

Deeply regretted by her partner John, her son Aidan, her daughter Nakita, her four adored granddaughters Layla, Poppy, Kali and April, her brothers John & Noel, and sister Patricia and Majella, sisters-in-law Tracey & Ann, brother-in-law Seamus, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Patrick (Paddy) Ward
The Tannery, Portarlington, Laois/Clondalkin, Dublin

Formerly of Clondalkin Dublin. Peacefully surrounded by his loving family at the Regional Hospital Portlaoise and previously in the wonderful care of the staff of The Community Nursing Unit, Mountmellick.

Sadly missed by his loving wife Stephanie, family Frankie, Johnny, Christy, Sandra, Sundown, Jimmy, Jason, Samanata, Crystal, Aaron and Patrick, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Carroll, Chris (John) (Rathfarnham, Dublin and formerly Stradbally, Co. Laois) 30th September 2025, unexpectedly, beloved husband of Fidelma and loving Dad of Ronan, Alan, David and Ross.

He will be very sadly missed by his loving wife, sons, daughters-in-law Rebecca, Catherine, Dorinda and Karen, his eleven loving grandchildren Charley, Áine, Maebh, Caoimhe, Philip, Hazel, Isla, Caleb, Harvey, Ella and Keira, brothers Ned and Noel, sisters Angela and Pat, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, extended family and a wide circle of friends.

Eamonn Kinsella of “Oakwood”, Crossneen, Carlow, Laois, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on October 2nd, 2025, at The District Hospital, Carlow

Beloved husband of the late Brigid, much loved father of Keith, Colm, Brendan, David and the late Paul, adored grandfather of Ava, Jasmine, Breen and Riley and cherished brother of John, Maura, Seamus, Patrick, David, Carie and the late Olive.

He will be sadly missed by his loving sons, daughters-in-law Annie and Emily, brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Carpenter Bros Funeral Home, Shamrock Sq., Carlow (Eircode R93 C863) on Sunday (October 5th) from 3pm concluding with Prayers at 7pm that evening. Removal on Monday morning at 10.30am to St. Clare’s Church, Griaguecullen, arriving for funeral Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in Sleaty New Cemetery.

Margaret O Connell (Nee Crossan) October 2nd 2025 Peacefully surrounded by her loving family. Sadly missed by her Husband Michael, daughter Grainne, Son Niall, all her brothers and sisters. Especially by her loving grandchildren Emily, Alex and Ava Rose and her sons in law Darren and Carlos. Brothers in law, sisters in law. nieces, nephews and wide circle of friends. And all her work colleagues and friends at the pharmacy.

Reposing at Keegans Funeral home on this Sunday evening from 5 pm until 6.30pm , with rosary at 6 pm. Removal on Monday to arrive at SS Peter and Paul’s Church for 11 am requiem mass. Cremation will follow in Newlands Crematorium. Family flowers only, donations if desired to the friends of Portlaoise Hospital.
