It is with deep sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Ann.

Ann is predeceased by her parents Dan and Nancy. She will be deeply regretted by her adoring children Keith, Kelly, Craig, Shane and Karla, her siblings Mary, Philomena (Phil), Timmy, Jacqueline, Noreen, Donal and Michael. Cherished Nanny to her six grandchildren Dylan, Kailum, Maya, Michael, Teagan and Khloe, her daughter-in-law, her children’s partners, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews, her extended family, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

The death has taken place of Jamie Brennan, 9Colliers Lane, Upper Kilminchy, Portlaoise, Co. Laois and formerly of Barna Ballinakill. He died peacefully in Portlaoise Hospital surrounded by his loving family on Friday 17th October 2025. Jamie will be sadly missed by his adoring parents Jimmy and Bernie, Aunts Uncles, cousins, relatives and a large circle of friends.

Reposing at his home from 4pm Saturday 18th with family Rosary at 8pm. Removal Monday 20th to St. Peter and Pauls Church, Portlaoise for 2pm requiem mass followed by burial in Ballinakill Cemetery.

Mary Elizabeth (Betty) Breen (née Dunne)
Ballybrack, Dublin/Mountmellick, Laois

BREEN (née Dunne) (Ballybrack, Co Dublin and late of Mountmellick, Co Laois) October 16, 2025, peacefully in the wonderful care of all the staff in Annabeg Nursing Home, Ballybrack, Mary Elizabeth (Betty), beloved wife of the late Cornelius (Neil), loving mother of Stephanie and the late Amanda; Sadly missed by her daughter, son-in-law, adored grandchildren Neil, Sofia, Michael and Theo, her extended family and friends.

Reposing Saturday (October 18th) in Quinns of Glasthule A96EW88 from 4pm to 6pm. Removal Monday (October 20th) to Sts Alphonsus & Columba Church, Ballybrack Village arriving for 11.30am Funeral Mass which can be viewed on https://churchmedia.tv/sts-alphonsus-and-columba-ballybrack-killiney-parish followed by burial in St Joseph’s Cemetery, Mountmellick arriving for 3pm approx.

Forgeland, Knockanina, Mountrath, Laois

Breda Carter, (née Lalor), Forgeland, Knockanina, Mountrath, Co. Laois.

Passed away comfortably on the 16th October 2025, surrounded by her loving family, at the Milford Care Centre, Limerick.

Predeceased by her parents Pat and Mary Lalor, sisters Claire and Maureen.

Deeply regretted and will be sadly missed by her loving family, her husband Cecil, son Stuart, daughters Sue (Copeland) and Jean, sisters Ann and Tress, grandchildren Paul and Elaine, son-in-law Jim, extended family, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Guilfoyle’s Funeral Home, Castletown, (Eircode R32TN84), this Friday evening (Oct 17th) from 6pm to 8pm with prayers at 8pm.

Removal from Guilfoyle’s Funeral Home, Castletown on Saturday morning (Oct 18th) at 11.45am to arrive at St. Edmund’s Church, Castletown (Eircode R32KT22) for Funeral Mass at 12 Noon, followed by burial in St. Fintan’s Cemetery, Mountrath.

Breda’s Funeral Cortege will proceed via Knockanina.
