The death has occurred of Sarah Ann Mallon (née Owen), 41A Oakleaf Place, Portlaoise, Co. Laois, peacefully on the 9th of November 2025.

Kyle, Durrow, Laois

Peacefully at the Regional Hospital Portlaoise. Predeceased by his parents Patrick and Julia, his sister Margaret Comeford, and brothers-in-law Louie and Harry. Deeply regretted by his wife Mary, daughters Sheila and Theresa, son P,J, brothers Tommy and Michael, sisters Sadie and Sr. Martina, sons-in-law Ivan and Dinny, daughter-in- law Ellen, grandchildren Jake, Vivienne, Joe, Laura, Andrew, Ciara, Sarah, Adam and Jack great-grandchildren Luca and Levi, brothers-in-law Phil and Michael, sisters-in-law Patricia, Patricia,Mary and Patricia, sadly missed by his nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at his residence on Monday with prayers at 7 pm. reposing in the Chaple of Repose adjoining the Church Of The Most Holy Rosary Abbeyleix on Tuesday from 5pm with prayers at 7 pm. Removal to the Church Of The Most Holy Rosary Abbeyleix on Wednesday for 11 am. Requiem Mass. Interment afterwards in St. Patricks Cemetery

Maureen Hayes (née Cahill)
Sweetbriar Lawn, Tramore, Waterford/Ballacolla, Laois

Maureen Hayes N.T. nee Cahill. Late of Sweetbriar Lawn , Tramore, Co. Waterford. Formerly of Ballacolla, Co. Laois

Maureen passed peacefully surrounded by her loving family at home, Sunday the 9th of November 2025. Predeceased by her beloved husband PJ; her brothers: Paddy and Son, and her sisters Cecilia and Katie.

Maureen will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her heartbroken children John, Conor and Ciara, her adoring grandchildren Jack, Annabel, Conor, Oscar and Killian; her brother Tom; her sister Breeda; her daughters-in-law Andrea and Bernie and her son-in-law Gary. Maureen will be fondly remembered by all her nieces and nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews, extended family, relatives, wonderful neighbours, and many friends.

The Hayes family would particularly like to thank The Waterford Palliative Care Team, the Hospice Night Nurses and all of those who cared for her in recent months.

Maureen’s reposal will take place in Falconer’s Funeral Home, Riverstown, Tramore X91TW21 on Wednesday the 12th of November from 6pm until 8pm.

All are welcome and refreshments will be served throughout.

Maureen’s Requiem Mass will take place on Thursday the 13th of November at 10am in The Church of the Holy Cross, Tramore, Co. Waterford, after which Maureen will be laid to rest in St. Declan’s Cemetery, Tramore, Co. Waterford. Anyone wishing to attend Maureen’s mass can be viewed online by using the link.

Giselle Mentos
Kilcullen, Kildare/Portarlington, Laois

Formerly of Kilcullen, Co. Kildare and Portarlington, Co. Laois. Peacefully, surrounded by her loving sister Denise and best friends Aisling and Catherine in the kind care of the staff of the Midland Regional Hospital, Portlaoise. Predeceased by her loving parents Margaret and Peppe Suris Mentos and nephew Anthony Jordan.

Giselle will be forever loved and sadly missed by her sister, her best friend’s, brother-in-law Leo, cousins, aunts, uncles, extended family and all who knew and loved her from around the world.

Reposing at the George Mullins Funeral Home, Kilcullen Road, Naas, (Eircode W91 CDOK) on Monday 10th November from 5pm to 7pm with prayers at 6.30pm. Funeral Mass on Tuesday 11th November at 11.30am in Church of the Sacred Heart and St Brigid, Kilcullen (R56 R271) followed by Burial in St. Brigid’s Cemetery, Kilcullen.

Peacefully, in the loving care of the staff of the Midland Regional Hospital, Portlaoise. Predeceased by his parents Mae and Bill, brothers and sisters Rita, Andy, Bridie, Michael, Paddy, Kevin, John and Eamon.

Sadly missed by his beloved wife Patty, daughters Elva and Laura, brothers Liam, Noel and David, sister Lily, sons-in-law P.J. and John, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, adored grandchildren Jamie, Jeremy, Emily Rose, Mae, Matthew and Patrick Joseph, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Reposing at his residence (R14 F519) from 6pm on Sunday evening (November 9th) until the conclusion of the Rosary on at 8pm and reposing from 11am on Monday morning until the conclusion of the Rosary also at 8pm. Removal on Tuesday morning (November 11th) to arrive at St. Lazerian’s Church , Knock, Spink for Requiem Mass at 12noon. Burial afterwards in the adjoining Cemetery.

Patrick (Pat) Bonham
Bendigo, Victoria, Australia, formerly of, Abbeyleix, Laois

Bonham, Patrick (Pat), Bendigo, Victoria, Australia, formerly of Abbeyleix Co Laois. Saturday 1st November 2025, peacefully in his 99th year.

Beloved husband of Rhonda. He is survived by his nine children Catherine, Mary, Sean, Liam, Anne, Emma, Siobhan, Clare, Padraig, their spouses and partners Carlos, Carl, Gabrielle, Sally, Martin, Andreea, his 8 grandchildren and great grandchild, sister in law, nieces and nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

He was predeceased by a grandchild and his 10 brothers and sisters.

Funeral Rosary on Thursday 13th November, 7pm (AEDT) at Mulqueen Family Funerals, Bridge St, Bendigo, Victoria, Australia.

Funeral Mass on Friday 14th November, 1.30pm (AEDT) at St Monica’s Church, Kangaroo Flat, Victoria, Australia.
