Margaret Lynch
23 Derrywood, Durrow, Laois, R32 DT22

Margaret formerly of Aharney, Lisdowney and retired night Matron of Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin, passed away peacefully in her 94th year surrounded by her loving family while under the excellent care of the medical and care staff of Fennor Hill Care Facility, Urlingford, Co Kilkenny.

Margaret is predeceased by her parents Joseph and Ellen, her brothers Liam, Packie and Joe. She will be deeply regretted and sadly missed by her sisters in law Eileen and Bridie, her nieces and nephews Paul, Padraig, John, Paedar, Ellenora, Joe, Richard, Helen, Ann and Breda, her grand nieces and grand nephews, her extended family, neighbours and a close circle of friends.

Margaret will repose at her residence 23 Derrywood, Durrow, Co. Laois (R32 DT22) on Friday 14th November 2025 from 2pm with removal to The Church of the Holy Trinity, Durrow, Co Laois (R32 CK11) for arrival at 6pm. Requiem Mass on Saturday 15th November 2025 at 2pm with burial immediately afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Denis Cullinane
Newlands, Mullingar, Westmeath/Mountrath, Laois

The death has occurred of Denis Cullinane (Mullingar and formerly of Mountrath) retired Garda Superintendent. 13th November 2025, at home surrounded by his family. Dearly beloved and loving husband of 64 years of Ita (O’Neill).

Much loved Dad of Denise, Shelley, Kitty, Garry, Pearse, Barbara and Shane. Adored Grandad and storyteller to his grandchildren Rebecca, Aaron, Abbey, Kate, Chris, Daniel, Tom, Shane, Etain and Aoibheann, and great grandchildren Scarlett, Farah, Safiya, Itotia and Connor.

Sadly missed by his sister Rita O’Donovan (Mallow), daughter-in-law and sons-in-law, sisters and brothers-in-law, his many nieces, nephews and extended family, and his many good friends, neighbours and former colleagues at An Garda Síochana. Predeceased by his sister Mary Ramsbottom and brothers Michael and John. Thanks for all the tunes Dad.

Reposing at Gilsenan’s Funeral Home, Mullingar (N91 K660) on Friday 14th November from 4 pm to 6 pm followed by Removal to the Cathedral of Christ the King arriving at 6.30 pm.

Denis’s Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday 15th November at 11 am and the Mass may be viewed on the link below. Burial afterwards in Ballyglass Cemetery.

Elizabeth (Betty) Harvey (née Carter)
Tullyroe, Abbeyleix, Laois

Peacefully at the Regional Hospital Portlaoise surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her husband Arthur and sisters Vera, Effie and Violet.

Deeply regretted by her adoring son Arthur, daughter-in-law Michelle, granddaughters Alison and Ellen, great-grandaughter Ruby, Alison’s fiance Henry, nieces, nephews, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at her residence on Thursday the 13th from 2pm. and on Friday from 2pm. with prayers at 8pm.Funeral service on Saturday at 2pm. in St Michaels and all Angles Church, Abbeyleix, eircode R32AW62 with burial afterwards in the adjoining graveyard.

Cecelia Marshall (née Healion)
Kilfoylan, Moate, Offaly/Mountmellick, Laois

Cecelia Marshall (nee Healion) Kilfoylan Moate Co.Offaly and formerly Mountmellick Co.Laois died November 11th 2025 in the loving care of the staff at The Regional Hospital Tullamore.

Beloved daughter of the late George Oliver and May Healion O Moore Street Mountmellick.

Survived by loving husband Derek and children Keavah and Kieran, her brothers and sister and best friend Geraldine.

Pauline Conroy (née Crossan)
Marian Ave, Portlaoise, Laois

Pauline Conroy (nee Crossan) Marian Ave. Portlaoise 11th November 2025 . Peacefully surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of the late Stephen. Dearly loved mother to John, Gerry, Mary, Tina, Stephen, Paula, Michael and Martin.

Predeceased by her brothers and sisters, and daughters in law Linda and Noreen. Deeply regretted by her loving family, sons in law, daughters in law, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, very good neighbours, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Keegans Funeral Home on Thursday from 6.30 pm until 8 pm. With rosary at 7.30 pm. Funeral leaving her residence on Friday morning at 10.15 pm to arrive at SS Peter and Paul’s Church for 11 am requiem mass. Interment will follow afterwards in SS Peter and Paul’s Cemetery.
