The Laois senior footballers have been drawn to play Offaly in the opening round of the 2026 Leinster championship.
That game will likely be in Tullamore as part of Laois’s long-standing home and away arrangement with Offaly. The last time the sides met in the Leinster championship was in O’Moore Park in 2024 when Offaly recorded a big win.
Having failed to make the Leinster semi-finals this year, Laois were one of the seven unseeded teams meaning they were unlikely to get an automatic quarter-final place.
Should they get over Offaly then another local derby will await in the quarter-final against Kildare.
Meath will play the winners of Westmeath-Longford on the same side of the draw as Laois.
Dublin, who will play the winners of Carlow-Wicklow, and reigning Leinster champions Louth are on the other side of the draw.
Laois are once again under Justin McNulty who is in charge for a third season.
Laois were beaten in the Leinster quarter-final by Louth this season before being knocked out of the Tailteann Cup by Westmeath in the preliminary quarter-final.
