The death has occurred of Nora Kelly (née Byrne) 15 Church Avenue, Stradbally, Co Laois, peacefully at her home on the 27th of November 2025 in her 92nd year surrounded by loving family. Predeceased by her beloved husband Tommy.

Nora will be sadly missed and forever loved by her sons, Donald (Doxy) and Pat, sister Judy, Donald’s partner Cindy, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, her good friend Maura, extended family, neighbours and her many friends.

Reposing at her home on Saturday from 3:30pm with Recital of the Rosary at 8pm. Requiem Mass on Sunday at 11:30am in the Sacred Heart Church, Stradbally and afterwards Nora will be laid to rest in Oakvale Cemetery.

Mixsey died at Kilminchy Lodge Nursing Home Portlaois on Wednesday 26th November.

He is predeceased by his wife Hilda,daughter Mary,grandson Johnny,brothers Jack and Tom and sister Nonie.

Deeply regretted by his loving daughter Geraldine,sons Michael,Joe,Colin and John,sons in law,daughters in law,grandchildren,great-grandchildren,relatives and friends.

Reposing in the Chapel of Rest adjoining The Church of The Most Holy Rosary Abbeyleix on Saturday evening from 6pm to 7.30pm.

Funeral Mass on Sunday at St.Brigid’s Church Ballinakill at 11am which can be viewed at http://www.ballinakillknockparish.com

Burial afterwards in St.Brigid’s Cemetery.

David Mulhare. Sheffield Cross, Portlaoise. (R32X2FY) November 26th 2025. Peacefully surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Margaret and dearly loved father to Cathy, Dan, Michael, Maggie, Mary and David.

Cherished grandfather to Millie, Ollie, Ada, Charlotte and Isabelle. Predeceased by his parents Michael and Kathleen and brothers Michael and Brendan and sisters Nina and Breda. Deeply regretted by his mother in law Margaret Norton, his brother Joe, his sisters Toni, Margaret and Elizabeth.

Daughters in law Ashling, Louise, Jen and partners including Enda. Brothers in law, sisters in law, nieces, nephew, relatives, neighbours and friends. And all his friends and colleagues in the Construction industry.

Reposing at his family home on Friday from 3pm until 8pm, with rosary at 7.30 pm. Removal on Saturday morning to arrive at SS Peter and Paul’s Church for 12 noon requiem mass. Interment will follow in SS Peter and Paul’s Cemetery, Portlaoise. House private on Saturday morning please.

Barney passed away peacefully in his 82nd year in the company of his loving family. Predeceased by his mother and father Bridget and Michael.

Sadly missed by his heart broken wife Pauline, brothers Tom, Hughie, John and Pat, sisters Kathleen, Bridie and Betty, Godchildren Brendan, Sorcha, Jess and Hazel, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews, relatives neighbours and friends.

Barney will repose at his residence on Friday 28th and Saturday 29th from 4pm until recital of the Rosary at 8pm on both evenings. Pat McEvoy Derry, Rosenallis, Co. Laois died peacefully Thursday November 27th.

Predeceased by his dear parents Padraig and Kathleen and his dear sister Mary Tiernan,Kiltoom and his dear niece Melissa.

John Horan, Clonbulloge, Co. Offaly. Formerly Wranglestown, Clonaslee, Co. Laois. Peacefully, 26th November 2025, in his 95th year, at Naas Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. Pre deceased by his beloved daughter Sheila, parents Thomas and Mary, brothers Pat, Denis, Matt and Tom, sisters Teresa and Sheila.

John will be sadly missed by his loving wife Mary Jo, daughter Marie, grandchildren Siobhàn, Eóin, Fiona, Aoife, Aine, Denise and Niall, great grandchildren Aaron, Aoibhínn, Niómh, Amy, Luke, Sidney and Cody, sons in law, brothers Chris and Frank, sisters Vinnie, Anna May and Brigid, brothers and sisters in law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Maher’s Chapel of Rest, Portarlington (Eircode R32 X5XV) on Friday (28th November) from 4:30pm, with removal by Glennons Funeral Directors at 6.30pm to arrive at The Sacred Heart Church, Clonbullogue for evening prayers at 7pm. Funeral mass on Saturday morning at 11am, followed by a private cremation. John’s funeral mass will be live streamed through the webstream link below.

Eileen will very sadly missed by her loving sons Francis and Paul, daughters-in-law Sheila and Juile, her beloved grandsons James and Jake, sister Breda, Margaret and Kay, brothers Dick and Johnny, nieces and nephews, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, relatives and friends.

Removal from Coady’s Funeral Home on Friday, arriving at Saint Mary’s Church, Wolfhill for Requiem Mass at 3pm.

Eileen will be laid to rest thereafter in the adjoining cemetery.

Margaret (Peg) Fitzpatrick (nèe Doyle) , Gurteen, Cullohill , Co. Laois and formerly of Johnstown Road, Freshford , Co. Kilkenny . Peg died peacefully, on Tuesday 25th November in St. Luke’s Hospital Kilkenny, surrounded by her loving family.

Predeceased by her parents James and Bridgid, husband Kieran, infant daughter Theresa and son-in-law Gerry. Deeply regretted by her loving family Con, Kathleen(Dunne), Geraldine(Dollard), John, Kieran and Liam, daughters-in-law Bernadette and Josephine, Son-in-law Martin, her 12 grandchildren, great grandchildren, niece-in-law Margaret, relatives, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

Peg will repose in her home in Gurteen (R32F309) on Thursday 27th November, from 4pm pausing for prayers at 7pm. Removal on Friday 28th November to arrive in St. Tighearnach’s Church Cullohill (R32EV76) for 12 noon funeral Mass, followed by burial in Durrow Cemetery (R32CK11).

Breda Vickers (née Mahon)
Wicklow Town, Wicklow/Laois

Breda Vickers née Mahon of Wicklow Town and formerly Co Laois who passed away on Monday 24th November 2025 peacefully at St Vincent’s University Hospital.

Predeceased by her parents Paddy and Bridie Mahon. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her family, husband Sean, daughters Aisling and Lorraine, granddaughter Emily, siblings Mary, Gerry and Teresa, sisters in law, brothers in law, nieces, nephew, extended family and friends.

Breda will repose at Flannery’s Funeral Home, Bachelors Walk, Wicklow Town from 5pm until 7pm on Friday. Funeral arriving to St Patrick’s Church, Wicklow Town on Saturday morning for 10am funeral Mass after which Breda will be laid to rest in Rathnew Cemetery.
