The draws for the Leinster football and hurling championships at U-20 and minor have been made.
In football, both Laois teams have been drawn in what look like tough groups on paper.
The Laois U-20 footballers have been drawn into Group 2 alongside Meath, Carlow and Longford.
Meath were champions in 2024 and were beaten in this year’s final by Louth.
Longford were minor champions in 2024 and certainly won’t be simple either.
The 2026 Leinster Under-20 Football Championship gets underway on Wednesday, March 25, with subsequent rounds on April 1 and April 5.
In minor, Dave McGrath’s charges are in Group 1 alongside Louth, Kildare and Meath.
Louth were defeated finalists last year while Meath’s last success was 2021 and Kildare’s was 2019.
Three of the four teams in Laois’s group will advance to the knockout phase with this competition set to start at the end of March.
The Leinster Minor Football Championship begins on Tuesday, March 24, with the second and third rounds scheduled for April 7 and April 14, respectively.
In hurling, David Delaney’s U-20s have been drawn in Group 2 of the championship.
They are alongside Dublin and Offaly plus a qualifier from Tier 2 of the competition.
Group games here start in April with Round 1 on April 4, Round 2 on April 11 and Round 3 on April 22.
In minor, Laois, now under Brendan Phelan, will begin the competition in Tier 2.
If they battle their way through that, they will be placed in either Group 1 or 2.
Group 1 contains Kilkenny and Dublin while 2 involves Galway and Wexford.
