Michael (Mikey) Devoy, Ballyruin, Ballyroan, Co. Laois. Died peacefully in the care of the wonderful staff of Kilminchy Lodge nursing home on the 24th December 2025.

Predeceased by his parents William and Mary, his sister Sheila (Cushen), brothers Liam, Fintan, Dan and James. Mikey will be sadly missed by his siblings Martin, Kitty and Seamus, his brothers in law Michael Cushen and Pat McAndrew, his nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Reception of remains will take place in St. Patrick’s Church, Ballyroan on Saturday 27th December from 4pm to 6pm. Requiem Mass on Sunday at 9.30am, followed by interment in the Old Cemetery behind the Church of the Holy Rosary, Abbeyleix eircode R32KN53

Elizabeth Ormsby (née Vousden)
Rosslare Harbour, Wexford/Abbeyleix, Laois

Ormsby, Elizabeth (Née Vousden) – (Rosslare Harbour, Co. Wexford and late of Boley, Abbeyleix), December 24, 2025, beloved wife of the late Bob, sister of Bridie, Peter and the late Paddy and Gerry, daughter of the late Peter & Elizabeth; sadly missed by her family, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Reposing in her residence on Friday from 6pm until 8pm. (Rosary at 9pm) Funeral Mass in Church of the Assumption Our Lady’s Island (Y35Y221) on Saturday at 12 noon, burial afterwards in Kilrane Cemetery.

Roger Hemmings
Portlaoise, Laois

Roger Hemmings of Portlaoise, Co. Laois, died peacefully on Friday, 19th December 2025, at Midlands Regional Hospital, Tullamore. Eldest son of the late Alan Hemmings, and Joy Elliott and brother of Guy and Louis.

Funeral Service on Saturday (27th December) at 11.00am in Colliers Funeral Home, Old Connaught Avenue, Bray, followed by burial in Shanganagh Cemetery.

“He will wipe away all tears from their eyes, and there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying, nor pain. All of that has gone forever.” – Revelation 21:4

Thomas (Tommy) Garry
Patrick Street, Portarlington, Offaly/Portarlington, Laois

Peacefully surrounded by his loving family at the Midlands Regional Hospital Tullamore. Predeceased by his parents Tim and Anna Maria, brothers Tim, Jim and Peter, sister Sr. Elizabeth.

Deeply regretted by his loving wife Nellie family Joe, Teresa, Helena and Tom, brother Br. Brendan, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Mahers Chapel of Rest Portarlington (eircode R32 X5XV) on Friday (St Stephen’s Day) from 4pm with Rosary at 6pm. Removal on Saturday at 1:20pm arriving St Michael’s Church Portarlington for Requiem Mass at 2pm. Funeral afterwards to St Michael’s Cemetery Portarlington.

Michael Curran, Killeshin, Ballickmoyler, Carlow, December 22nd 2025 at University Hospital, Waterford. Predeceased by his parents John and Brigid, brother John-Joe and sister Lila Flood. Sadly missed by his brother Paddy, sisters Brigid (Australia), Henrietta and Margaret, nephews Jonathan and Damien Flood, relatives and friends.

Reposing in R. Healy & Son Funeral Home Pollerton Castle, Carlow (R93 H308) on Friday (St. Stephen’s Day) from 2pm to 5pm. Funeral Mass on Saturday (Dec 27th) at 12noon in Holy Cross Church, Killeshin. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Patrick (Patso) Campion
Perth, Western Australia and formerly of Park, Ballacolla, Laois

The death has occurred of Patrick (Patso) Campion (formerly of Park, Ballacolla, Co Laois) in Perth, Western Australia.

Patrick passed away after a long battle with osteo sarcoma on 19/December/2025 at Hollywood Private Hospital, Perth in the loving company of his beloved wife Patricia.

Patrick was predeceased by his father Joseph, Mother Ellen, sister Mary, brothers Tony and Jim. Patrick is will be greatly missed by his loving wife Patricia, his son Edward, his sister Eileen, brothers John and Don, nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Cremation will be private with a memorial service in celebration of his life to take place on January 10th 2026 at Hillary’s Yacht Club Perth Western Australia. Details of the time and how to join the service on-line will be posted when known.

Kim Dunne (née Fleming)
Derrylamogue, Rosenallis, Laois/Clara, Offaly

Kim Dunne (nee Fleming) Derrylamogue, Rosenallis, Co.Laois and formerly of 21 Marian Square Clara, Co.Offaly.

Passed away peacefully December 22nd 2025 in the wonderful care of The Staff of The Mater Hospital Dublin surrounded by her loving family.

Predeceased by her parents James and Esther.

Kim will be very sadly missed by her husband Sean, brothers Ian, Mattie and David, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, friends and neighbours.

Kim will repose in Moloney’s Funeral Home Mountmellick (R32 PC95) on St.Stephens Day from 5pm. Recital of The Rosary at 7pm. Requiem Mass in St. Brigid’s Church, Rosenallis on Saturday December 27th at 11am.

Kim will be laid to rest after mass in St.Brigid’s Cemetery.

Willie Kirwan
Raheenabrogue, Ballyroan, Laois

Willie passed away peacefully in the wonderful care of the staff at St. James Hospital Dublin surrounded by his loving family.

Predeceased by his parents John and Kathleen.

Sadly missed by his loving wife Catherine (Kathy), daughter June, sons John, Liam and Mark, daughter-in-law Claire, grandchild Maeve, brother Mark, sisters Norah Spain, Margaret (Peggy) Duggan and Mary Fingleton, sister-in-law Mary, brothers-in-law Rory and Michael, Bill Phelan and all cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours, choir and friends.

Reception of remains in the Church Of The Most Holy Rosary, Abbeyleix, will take place on Friday at 6pm. Requiem Mass on Saturday at 11am. Interment afterwards the adjoining Cemetery.

Marjorie Fitzsimons . Ballyfin Rd. Portlaoise. 22nd December 2025 . In the tender and loving care of the staff of St Vincents Hospital Mountmellick. Beloved wife of the late Brendan. Dearly loved mother to Bernadette, Oonagh, Brendan, John and Ciaran. Deeply regretted by her loving family. Brother Ernie, son in law Paddy, daughter in law Susan. Grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Keegans Funeral Home on this Tuesday evening from 6 pm pm until 7.30 pm with rosary at 7 pm. Removal on Wednesday to SS Peter and Paul’s Church to arrive for 11 am requiem mass. Interment will follow afterwards in SS Peter and Pauls Cemetery.

Teresa Clancy (née Lawlor)
Main Street, Stradbally, Laois

Teresa passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family in St. Brigid’s Hospice, The Curragh Co. Kildare. Predeceased by her husband Eugene, sister Marie, her parents Molly and Michael.

Greatly missed by her heartbroken sons John and Dean and her daughter Rhona, adored Granny to Rosie and Joe, son in law Eoin, daughters-in-law Trish and Sarah. Sadly missed by her brothers Carson, Pj, Pat, Martin, Paul, Harry, her sisters Deirdre, Carmel, Phylis, Dina, Jackie, Catherine, brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, neighbours, relatives, and friends.

Reposing at St. Michael’s Church Timahoe on Tuesday 23rd from 5pm to 8pm, concluding with Rosary at 8pm. Removal by Whelehan Funeral Directors from her residence at 10:40am on Wednesday to arrive at the Sacred Heart Church Stradbally for 11 O’clock Requiem Mass which can be viewed on https://svtparish.ie/webcams Interment to follow in Oakvale Cemetery.

Moirty Delaney
Woodview, Lacca, Camross, Laois

Moirty passed away unexpectedly on the 19th December 2025, at the Midlands Regional Hospital Portlaoise.

Sadly missed by his heartbroken parents Martin and Carol, son Martin, brothers Colin, Adrian and Gavin, sisters Emma (Cole), Edel (Jackson) and Áine. Deeply missed by his nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Burke’s Funeral Home Mountrath eircode R32Y661 on Tuesday evening 23rd December from 5.0’clock, concluding with Rosary at 7.0’clock. Removal from his home Woodview, Lacca, on Wednesday morning 24th December (Christmas Eve) to St. Fergal’s Church Camross, for Requiem Mass at 11.0’clock, followed by Burial in the adjoining Cemetery.
