Dylan Kelly of 64 Chestnut Avenue, Fruithill Manor, Graiguecullen, Carlow, passed away unexpectedly, on January 9th, 2025 at his home.
Beloved son of Philip and Elizabeth, much loved brother of Kaitlin, Alex and Robyn and cherished boyfriend of Theresa
Dylan will always be remembered and loved by his heartbroken parents, sisters, aunts, uncles, grandparents, cousins, relatives and all his friends.

Mellick, Portlaoise, Laois
Died January 9th 2026, unexpectedly at Midlands Regional Hospital Portlaoise.
Predeceased by his sister Leona, grandmothers Phyllis Fitzpatrick and Peig Cuddy.
Gary is sadly mourned by his heartbroken parents Martin and Theresa, brother Shane, nephews Rhys and Luke, grandfather Mick Fitzpatrick, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Gary will repose at his home eircode R32NPV4 on Tuesday evening the 13th January from 2 – 4 p.m. and again from 5 – 8 p.m. concluding with Rosary at 8 p.m. Removal from his home on Wednesday afternoon the 14th January to arrive at St. Peter and Paul’s Church Portlaoise eircode R32R684 for Requiem Mass at 2 p.m, followed by Interment in St. Peter and Paul’s Cemetery Portlaoise.

Fitzpatrick, Sr. Carmela (Ben) Fitzpatrick, Presentation Sisters Mountmellick, Co. Laois – January 11th 2026, peacefully in the great care of The Residence Nursing Home, Portlaoise.
Predeceased by her parents John and Pauline, her brothers Tom, Sean and Fr. Paddy, her sisters Patty, Josephine, Anne and Margaret.
Deeply regretted by her sisters Pauline and Phyl, brothers Joe and Eugene, Sister-in-law Maura, Brother-in-law John Joe, Nieces, Nephews, Grand-nieces, Grand-nephews, extended family, her Presentation Community, Sisters of the North East Province, and her many friends.
Reposing at Presentation Convent Mountmellick on Monday from 2.30pm – 5.30pm. Removal to St. Joseph’s Church Mountmellick for 6pm prayers. Requiem Mass on Tuesday at 11am followed by interment in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Acragar, Mountmellick.

Johnny Doyle, Kyle, Rathdowney, Co. Laois January 10th. 2026, peacefully in the presence of his loving family at Fennor Care Facility Urlingford. Predeceased by his parents Joe and Nora, brothers Eddie and Josie and sister Noreen.
Sadly missed by his beloved wife Lily, his adored children, cherished grandchildren, sisters Bridget and Marie, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.
Reposing at O’Sullivan’s funeral home Rathdowney (Eircode R32 NY24) on Monday evening January 12th from 4 o’clock until 7 o’clock. Removal from his residence on Tuesday morning to the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Galmoy arriving for Requiem Mass at 11 o’clock. Interment afterwards in the adjoining Cemetery.

Carmel Brophy (nee Whelan) of Fairymount, Crettyard, Co. Laois passed away peacefully on 10th January, 2026 at home surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her son Shane, grandson Ryan, her parents Aloysius and Margaret, her sister Angela and her nephews Liam and Peter Kearns. Carmel will be sadly missed by her loving husband Liam, sons and daughters Linda, Ronan, Sarah, Becky, Liam, George and Adrian, her twenty grandchildren, her two great grandchildren, sons and daughters-in-law, brothers and sisters Tom, Eileen, Theresa, Josie, Frank, Gerry and Bernie, brothers and sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours, friends and her former colleagues from Laois County Council.

Dan passed away peacefully following a short illness surrounded by his loving family in The Midlands Regional Hospital Tullamore on Thursday 8th of January 2026.
Predeceased by his parents Simon and Anna, his infant brother Garrett, his sister-in-law Marian and recently his brother Joseph.
Deeply regretted by his loving wife Dorothy, his cherished children Adrian, Amanda, Catherine, Doireann and Deirdre, his beloved grandchildren Cian, Evan, Kate, Sally, Daniel, Jamie, Alex and Nicole. He will be fondly remembered by his sons-in-law Vinny, Dessie and Niall and his daughter-in-law Mary, his siblings Johnny, Jude, Betty, Garry, Mary and Noel, his uncle Joe and aunt Mary Fitzpatrick, his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, cousins, relatives, neighbours and a large circle of friends.
Dan has left a huge void in the lives of all that knew him. He was loved and cherished by everyone.
