Over eight days and 11 shows and in front of a combined audience of 2,500, the Portlaoise Panto will go centre stage in the Dunamaise Arts Centre again this month.
Beginning this Saturday, January 17, Goldilocks and the Three Beours promises to be another fun-filled performance from the Portlaoise group.
As the cast the production team went through a manic final week of rehearsals, we sat down with the three beours – Donal Brennan, Emma Phelan and Ciara Dollard – as well as chairperson Sandra O’Reilly to chat about their involvement over the years, the parallel universe of panto land and why it really brighten up the month of January.
There are two shows on Saturday and Sunday this weekend, an evening show on Monday to Friday and then two shows again on Saturday, January 25.
The show is written by Rory Chadwick, directed by Richard Mansworth, with musical direction by Sarah Troy and choreography by Lea Carroll.
Tickets (adults €24 and children €18) are available from online from the Dunamaise Arts Centre or by calling 057 8663355.
