Peacefully, surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his wife Florence and his brother Douglas. Dearly loved and adored father to Serena, Pamela, and Nicola. Cherished grandfather to Naomi, Miriam, and Andrew. Deeply regretted by his loving family, sons-in-law Robert Senior, Dan Cussen, and Padraig Doyle; brothers Richie, Harry, Mervyn and Ken; sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, friends, and all his many friends and customers at Reliable House Furnishers in Portlaoise.

Reposing at his family home, “Avondale”, Clonreher (R32 AP6W), on Saturday from 3 pm until 7 pm. Removal on Sunday to arrive at St Peter’s Church of Ireland, Market Square, Portlaoise, for a 2 pm service, followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery. House strictly private on Sunday morning.

Ann Kavanagh (née Knowles)
Colt, Ballyroan, Laois

Ann Kavanagh (née Knowles) Colt, Ballyroan, Co. Laois. 21st January 2026 Peacefully surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her husband Tony and infant son John. Dearly loved mother to Leo, Adrian, Martina and Majella. Cherished grandmother to Tara, and Aaron. Deeply regretted by her son in law Max, sister Lily, and brother Michael, sister in law Mary, brother in law Peter, nephew, nieces, neighbours , cousins, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Keegans Funeral Home, Portlaoise (R32Y368) on Friday evening from 5.30 pm until 7 pm , with prayers at 6.30 pm. Requiem mass at 12 noon, in St Fintans Church, Raheen (R32WT44) on Saturday 24th Jan. followed by interment in adjoining cemetery.

Attracta Corcoran (née Blanchfield)
Emo, Laois/Athy, Kildare

Attracta passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on the 22nd of January in the care of the wonderful staff at the Midlands hospital Tullamore.

Predeceased by her husband John. Much loved mother of Hilda and Declan.

Sadly missed by her partner Edward, her children, son- in-law Jimmy and daughter-in-law Tina, grandchildren, Oisin, Fionn, Mella, Neasa and Luisne, her sisters Cathleen, Maureen, Brigidín, Eithne, Eimer, Fiona and the late Reiltín and Fidelma, her brothers Fergal, Conleth, Felim and the late Seamus, Aiden and Tiernan brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law nieces, nephews and many friends.

Reposing at her daughter Hilda’s residence Emo, R32TD98 on Friday evening from 5pm to 7:30pm. Recital of the Rosary at 7pm. Funeral Mass on Saturday morning at 11am to St. Paul’s Church, Emo. Followed by burial afterwards in the new cemetery, Emo.

Annette Scully (née Bracken)
Coolagh, Clonaslee, Laois, R32F59C/Kilcormac, Offaly

Annette Scully (née Bracken), Coolagh, Clonaslee, Co. Laois.

Passed away peacefully on the 21st of January 2026, after the bravest of battles for the last 2 and a half years.

Predeceased by her late father & mother Paddy & Rose, her sisters Pauline Bracken & Maura Mangan, her sister-in-law Lucy O’Shea & her mother-in-law Winnie Scully.

Deeply regretted by the heartbroken family, her husband Dermot, her children Róisín, Darragh, Gráinne and Oona, her brothers Seán and Noel, her father-in-law Brendan Scully, sisters-in-law & brothers-in-law Fionnuala, Carmel, Patricia, Moira, Rosemary, Brendan and John, nieces and nephews. Annette will be deeply missed by her work colleagues in the HSE & her large number of friends & family.

A special thanks to Tullamore Regional Hospital, the Beacon Hospital & St. Vincent’s Private Hospital. A massive thank you to the nurses & staff at St. Brigid’s Hospice the Curragh, for all the care work & dedication that went above and beyond the care of duty for the last number of weeks, we will be forever grateful.

A special thanks to all neighbours & friends for all their help over the last 2 and a half years, we will be forever grateful.

Reposing at her residence, (Eircode R32F59C) on Friday the 23rd of January from 2 – 8pm, with Rosary at 8pm.

Funeral Mass on Saturday the 24th of January at 12 noon in St Manman’s Church, Clonaslee, with burial afterwards in St. Manman’s Cemetery, Clonaslee. Annette’s Funeral Mass can be viewed on www.churchmedia.tv by selecting County Laois.

Peacefully at Portlaoise Hospital following a brief illness. Aidan beloved and devoted husband of Kay. Sadly missed by his loving family, Brian, Cormac, Alan and Diarmuid, brother Melvin and sister Carmel, daughters-in-law Maria, Noreen, Susan and Lisa, grandchildren Hugh, Lottie and Emillia, relatives, neighbours and friends. Sincerest thanks to staff of Kilminchy Lodge Nursing Home for all your help.

Passed away peacefully Wednesday the 21st of January 2026. Surrounded by his loving family at the Midlands Regional Hospital Portlaoise.

Predeceased by his parents Peter and Julia Moore. His brother Monsignor Terry Moore, and his sisters Mona and Bernie.

Sadly missed by his loving wife Margaret (Maggie). His loving daughter’s Mary and Sheila. His sons Peter, Ger and Terry, his nine grandchildren Pauric, Maria, Mairead, James, Sean, Sarah, Conor, Luke and Darragh, his two great-grandchildren Rachel and Rosín. Sons-in-law Joe and Pete, daughters-in-law Theresa and Ailish. His sisters Dympna and Ronnie. Nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and a large circle of friends.

Reposing in Moloney’s Funeral Home, Mountmellick (R32 PC95) on Friday the 23rd of January from 4pm. Recital of the Rosary 7pm. Removal on Saturday morning at 10.20am to St. Fintan’s Church, Ballyfin arriving for 11am Requiem mass. Burial afterwards in St. Fintan’s Cemetery.

Mary Kelly (née Ryan)
Boyle, Ballylinan, Laois/Athy, Kildare

The death has occurred of Mary Kelly (née Ryan) of Boley, Ballylinan, Athy, Co. Laois.

She passed away on Tuesday, 20th January 2026 at Portlaoise Hospital.

Mary is missed by her Son Ken and her three grandchildren, her Sister Rita and Nephew PJ.

Mary’s funeral will arrive to St. Lazerian’s Church, Leighlinbridge on Friday 23rd for 11am Requiem Mass. Burial afterwards in St. Lazerian’s cemetery.

Passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving wife at the Midlands Regional Hospital Portlaoise.

Sadly missed by his loving wife Helen, brother Paddy, brother-in-law Michael, cousins, relatives, neighbours and a large circle of friends.

Reposing in Moloney’s Funeral Home Mountmellick on Thursday the 22nd of January from 5pm. Recital of the Rosary 6:30pm. Removal on Friday morning at 10:50am to St. Joseph’s Church Mountmellick arriving for 11am Requiem mass. Burial afterwards in St Joseph’s Cemetery.

Francis (Frank) Tyndall, Cois-na-habahainn Portlaoise. Died 19th January 2026. Peacefully surrounded by his loving family in the great care of The Residence Nursing Home Portlaoise. Predeceased by his parents and brother Eamon. Deeply regretted by his twin brother John, brother Jim, sisters Mary, Ann and Catherine, niece Karen, brothers-in-law James and Noel, nieces, nephews, extended family, realtives and all his friends and staff at the Muiriosa Foundation who cared and supported Frank throughout his life.

Reposing at Keegan’s Funeral Home on Thursday evening 22nd January from 7pm until 8:30pm with rosary at 8pm. Requiem Mass on Friday at 11am in SS Peter and Pauls Church Portlaoise followed by interment in SS Peter and Pauls Cemetery.

Sheila Nolan (née Kennelly)
Graiguecullen, Carlow/Graiguecullen, Laois

Sheila Nolan (née Kennelly) of 62 St Fiacc’s Terrace, Graiguecullen, Carlow and formerly of Buttevent, Co Cork, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family, on January 19th, 2026 at St Luke’s Hospital, Kilkenny.

Beloved wife of the late Patrick (Paddy), loving mother of P.J., Liam, Dennis, Eddie, Jimmy, Helen, Patricia and Sheila and adored grandmother of Saoirse, Naoise, Ciara, Jack, Paddy, Mia, Sky, Daniel, Isabell, Kayla, Harry, Georgina, Sammy, Jamie, James, Tadgh, Donnacha, Lily, Gavin, Jasmine and Conor.

She will be sadly missed by her loving sons, daughters, grandchildren, sons-in-law Liam and Philip, PJ’s partner Caoimhe, Liam’s partner Kate, Dennis partner Jade, Jimmy’s partner Natasha, Eddie’s partner Tiago, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, friends and especially her best friend Mary.

Sheila will repose at her home, 62 St Fiacc’s Terrace, Graiguecullen, Carlow (Eircode R93FP58) on Wednesday January 21st from 3pm until 8pm, with prayers at 6pm that evening.

Removal from there on Thursday morning at 11am, to the St Clare’s Church, Graiguecullen, arriving for Funeral Mass at 11.30am. Burial afterwards in Sleaty New Cemetery.
